nonsense. gabby is a villa lad which is great, but he's been shit the last 2 years and before that he was only ever alright. he's not worth a fraction of the wages he's on owing players doesnt come into it. look at collins, he was great for a time, yet everyone here seems to want him gone. why? because he's been consistently shit for 2 years richard dunne, great for a while again. even got into team of the year. yet lots here want him gone and continually call him a fatty. why? because he's been average for 2 years what's the difference between dunne, collins and gabby? apart from the fact that gabby is a villa lad? collins is a decent defender but the reason i want him gone his hes been involved in 2 drink related incidents in the last 2 seasons. as for gabby are you forgetting he was our best player for the first half of last season playing out of position until he had to pull out england squad in november (ironically when he last scored) with a back problem i think and and played the rest of the season with it because remember mcleish saying he delayed a op or something.

I think it's time for Gabs to move on. Good for him and for us. He hasn't made any progress for 2 seasons now. Explain to me how you expected him to improve in the past two seasons? He hasnt exactly been part of two teams, or managers that played to his strengths and allowed him to progress naturally? One wanted him to be a winger, the other shouted at him if he crossed the halfway line. He deserves one more season, in a motivated villa team. what? sell gabby and replace him with snodgrass? makes real sense that does. Snodgrass isn't even a striker is he? Don't write off gabby just yet, Lambert gets the best out of players and i expect him to do that with gabby just like MON did. People are forgetting he was our best player for the first half of the season playing out of position, 2nd half of the season was playing with injury. I'd be disappointed if we sold gabby and thats just because he's villa through and through, theres more people that should be above gabby on the list of players who should be sold.

I dislike Mcleish as much as every other Villa fan, but if the authority figure tells you to do something, you do it. Just like the man in the office or the factory has to. Sometimes in life you cant always do what you feel like. which he is he has...hes never complained it about it and always said he'd play whereever to help the team. People are just trying to be body language experts like they were with Bent at the start of the season and experts at everything else as always on here.

isn't he playing with an injury? because thats what ive heard. Some people should think before they speak. Moan about loyalty of players when they leave but then want rid of one of our own, who is good enough by the way. He's had spells out of form beforeand come back out of it a better player and i'm sure he will do it again. Hopefully next season were get to see him under a manager who actually sets up his teams to attack.

What a ridiculous statement that is. If rumours are correct we are paying £67k a week on Emile. A high weekly wage doesn't bring you anything if you are paying it to an absolute tosser. He has gotta go whatever happens. After 18 seasons of having a season ticket i am seriously now considering not renewing if he is in charge next season. Of all the years ive been going down the villa i have never seen the players lack so much belief about winning a game of football and that all comes from the manager. The board deserve critisism for appointing him too and if the papers are right about us having a £40,000 a week wage cap for new signings then if it isn't this year we go down it will be next season or the season after the way were going.

well he has been poor the last few games but gonna hold back on the critisism because i am hearing a few rumours that he is playing with a injury and mcleish won't rest him? As for the captaincy i thought he would be alright as captain but i was wrong. You can't name a captain based on him been here the longest.
