I'm not an ST holder because I live in Kent and its just not practical. However, I am genuinely interested in why you would consider NOT supporting the club both financially and in person. Say for example we appoint McLeish, and we win our first 6 games and are in CL contention by Xmas. Will you come back? Would you then leap on the bandwagon and support the club again. It doens't matter who is in the Manager's Officer, or who pulls that beautiful shirt on. You are (apparently) a Villa fan. And a bloody priviliged one at that in that you are able to take yourself onto that hallowed ground once fortnight. If you love this club, support it. Regardless of the difficulties we experience on the way. ive been losing interest anyway not just becuase of board decisions, theres the constant losing our best players and then theres fans around me and the game constantly slagging off players which has meant i'm not enjoying it as much. but anyway i am not saying the board should listen to the fans on every appointment they make because not every fan will back the appointment of one manager and so on, but when such a big majority of fans dont want someone as manager and the board dont listen when theres clearly better options out there it makes me think the board don't care what the fans think, so whats the point in been a fan, a fan that puts the majority of his yearly salary on the club?

season ticket renewal date is friday and im seriously considering not renewing for the first time in 17 seasons. I'm sorry but if the board think that our rival's manager whos just got them relegated is the best man for job then theres no hope for us. i wanted moyes but that was never gonna happen wouldnt of minded hughes. i've seen all the press having a go at us and hoped we'd shut them up with a good appointment but dont look thats gonna happen and looks like they were right all along, we are a shambles and no one wants the job. I really wouldnt blame any member of our squad for wanting to leave us right now.

makes me laugh how when it looks like a player wants to go, he suddenly is not good as he was a week ago and is easily replaceable. I'd be gutted if downing goes and i find myself questioning why i fork out on a season ticket every season to watch overpaid unloyal bastards, barring 1 or 2.

theres nothing wrong with suggesting them on here though, then a few people see it and someone starts at a game its easier for people to join in then. away games in pubs before the game with a group of mates are the best way to get them going though then they catch on in the ground then.

gabby can play the lone striker and be good at it as well as seen a couple of season ago. Id say gabbys best performance this season was when he was up top on his own against man utd at home. As for the fonz i can see him leaving in the summer his contract is up in 2012 and dont see no sign of him been offered a new one which would be shame because i do rate him.

im sure we'll be playing 4-4-2 next season once ash goes

I've been a season ticket holder for 17 seasons now and i haven't had a invite.

Hi general, just wanted to state on the kits, i think nike is the best we have had in a long while not just kits but the training tops and tracksuits as well etc, so when the contract expires would like to see nike continue if theres no one better. anyway my one gripe about kits this season is that i haven't been able to get the goalkeeper shirt in a adult size all season as i dont think they have been on sale in adult sizes all season. is there any reason for this? ive tried the online shop and the club shops on a game to game basis all season.

Definitely. I'm sure this nearly started upper Holte but lasted about 5 seconds. Simple song and fits well! lots of us were singing it at the back of the lower holte l5 and l6 and heard a few singing at as we come out the ground. hopefully this one catches on becasue as someone else said its one of them chants that you can keep on singing.

i gotta agree with a few on here, i'm sick of the media coverage of this. First of all if it was one of the big 4 or man city it would dominate the whole of sky sports news for a hour. Then we've got the people who are saying why would he wanna come here? well sorry sunderland fans but been above someone in the league does not make you a bigger club. Then i see people saying you gotta feel sorry for steve bruce he was building something at sunderland. I didnt hear people feeling sorry for us when we lost barry or a year later when we lost milner. i dont think the media like seeing midlands clubs do well or make big signings at all. Anyway really hope the deal gets done, we've been crying out for a top striker for years.

Great to see the fight, spirit and desire back. Just need to make sure we build on that now on Wednesday. Dunne was my MOTM, was more a return to the form of last season as well. I know a lot of people didn't like him there last season but we look at lot more solid with Carlos at right back. Let's build on this now. I am now looking forward to wednesday's game a lot more now.
