The addition of a solitary profiterole was the final straw for me.

Africa used to be my weakness so I made it my strength. I guess the tiny islands, Pacific and Carribbean would be my weakest at the mo.

Referee: David Coote. Assistants: Tim Wood, Mark Scholes. Fourth official: Paul Tierney. VAR: Peter Bankes. Assistant VAR: Nick Hopton. We've had Coote 3 times this season. The 4-1 victory home to West Ham, 2-1 victory at Brentford and the 0-0 draw at Goodison. He doesn't rate that highly amongst the VillaTalk massive. We liked his performance against West Ham giving it 72% and ranking it the 4th best overall referee performance this season. But we have him at 46% in 23rd place for the Brentford game and 33% and 30th place out of 32 for the Everton game. So, more of the West Ham performance please David. Unless he just has a home team bias ...

4-0 defeat and other results updated. Starting to look a little ominous now. Not that the Chelsea result was unexpected against 4th in the league. Next up is a trip to Arsenal, where I'd be amazed if we got anything. Then it's the 3 must-win (easier) games to finish out the season against Forest, Norwich & Newcastle.

Attendance for this is down as 45,314 on fbref. That can't be right. That's nearly 3,000 more than the next highest (City @ 42,321)

Didn't even know he was I'll.

That's why he's the ultimate troll. Looking forward to people jumping on him now just as he gets exclusively used in the CL knockouts.

Salah for me. He'll want to murder United and usually does.

Ben I think it's fair to say things haven't gone to plan so far this week. Yet.

I watch qualifying, the grid walk and the race. That's it. And even then qualifying falls by the wayside sometimes. All the other stuff I cannot be arsed with. Especially the chats sitting on the high chairs. I never bother with the sprint race either. The only other stuff I do watch on a race weekend will be the F2 & F3 races when they're on the card*. * Unless I'm too hungover

The attack will take care of itself. It's our defence that needs a good game here. Keep out Toney and Mbeumo. Not much left after that. Job almost done. I'd give Zaniolo a start left wing. But let's see if Ollie makes it up front. If not then Duran is probably enough wildcards for one game. Fairly confident for this one though. As good a shift as Brentford put in at home, they're not nearly as effective away. Basically, if we don't win this then we don't deserve CL.

This is the 3rd longest gap between Villa games this season 13 days. So yeah, it feels bloody long (kw.gif)

I don't know who will come out on top. I just know last time out, they got it right. Which means their engine department are good at what they do. It's just as possible someone else nails the new spec straight off the bat, in which case they get the advantage for the first few years. I just mean that when you throw the cards in the air, you create the possibility for anyone to come out on top. And when you're trying to stop the Red Bull/Max dominance, it would be pretty funny if Max jumped ship right to the people who dominated the last engine change. The odds at the very least suggest Merc will not be far away power-wise when it all starts from scratch again. The only thing we do know for a certainty is Alonso will make a terrible career decision.

I just mean the one where Red Bull loses Newey, Horner etc, and possibly Max as a result, and then McGrath knows where it all ends up. Plus the 2026 engine rule change. Basically I don't think people will have to 'suffer' or enjoy Red Bull's uncontested dominance for much longer. Although they may have to endure Max's, depending on how it pans out.
