  1. Unai's subs have been emblematic of our poor form lately. I've disagreed with them for a little while but he has more than enough credit in the bank. Today though, we got worse every time he interfered with the team on the pitch. He set us up well, the game plan was spot on. We played well. So my vote of "Poor" is definitely harsh. But aside from missed chances, I feel like the players mostly did their job today, substitutions let them down and cost us 3 vital points in what could very likely be a crucial 6 Pointer
  2. They wanted £15m and we pay £10m until he proves he's worth the extra £5m. Posters who say this baffle me because would be complaining we rolled over too much if we just paid the asking price every time we wanted a player
  3. I know nothing about him or even what position he plays. But I am 100% confident we should get involved in this transfer with a view to him replacing Duran as a backup to Watkins. He is clearly an Ollie Regen https://www.instagram.com/p/C2pE-RBITGQ/?igsh=ZDE1MWVjZGVmZQ==
  4. Fair result. Can’t understand why we saw so few changes and so late too
  5. Let off there. Lenglet not switched on at all
  6. Have to make the most of this spell. Good time to get Bailey on
  7. Ah the race to be able to say "I told you so" or "It was always obvious we wouldn't finish there" has moved to this thread I see. 3 points clear with half a season to go. Dream a bit ffs. If you cant enjoy this season, you may aswell find something else to do as you'll never find happiness in this sport. Even if you've waited what, 30 years for us to get back to the European Cup / Champions League and you're already fighting to say you were here early enough to call us missing out on it... honestly, what's the point?
  8. Missed a lot ofposts since - but is that definitely how it works as I was fairly confident that they had to spend 3 Years here before their 21st birthday - and obviously Kosta can't quite do so, as he turned 18 at the start of December, so will be a 4-6 weeks short of the deadline to count as Homegrown on his 21st birthday
  9. One thing in the back of my mind is that a lot of the reasoning for Lerner's original badge and not including detail within the lion was to make it reasonably cost effective to produce on the shirts, it was (allegedly) in part to keep Nike happy. Will be interesting to see how Adidas approach this, either the technology has changed as was posted with some of the gold designs a few days ago (but mostly focused on National teams / limited edition shirts)... Or I wonder whether we'll see another bump in cost of fan shirts in order to execute the badge as hoped.
  10. Difference is Everton and Forest have admitted that they're in breach of the rules. City will never
  11. Off topic but apparently we find out today who has been impacted by FFP. Or atleast the clubs find out today and there's a new faster process for punishing clubs from today too. So may see a few clubs push through deals from today onwards once they know they're in the clear
  12. Either way, excited to see the kid play. My only frustration is the same as with Duran. We apparently have been tracking him and wanted him for a long time and we've waited until he's a month past the deadline to count as a future Homegrown player. With Archer, AJ - and likely KKH and Iroegbunam - to be sold, and our (correct) strategy in buying top XI talents from abroad, we don't have enough Homegrown talents to enter a full 25 Man Squad. Had we sorted Duran and Kosta sooner, we maybe would've hit two birds with one stone, a player we like, for the first team squad and able to count as Homegrown in the future. Still, always nice to see exciting young talent come to Villa.
  13. Interested to see what happens with KKH. I wonder if we're very very close to the FFP line and he comes into the first team squad for 6 months and we basically admit we can't yet afford a new Starter at RB and then in the summer we review the two and one goes on loan whilst the other stays / we sell KKH. Or whether he is just sold this month, take the full profit into the FFP and then amortize Kosta's fee over 5 years and allow us to take a chance on a player we believe in more than KKH at this stage.
  14. But it's still a KKh replacement? He was supposed to step into that part of the squad, he won't be and this kid may be doing so. I don't think it needs to be so back and white. If this kid, an 18 YO attacking RB, comes in and goes out on loan, within days of KKH being brought back from loan and sold.. it's pretty clear he's the replacement no?
  15. I look forward to the rumours of him falling out with Unai every few weeks
  16. There's a surprise, would be around the first team exactly as much as KKH
  17. As was KKH, I'm not believing he comes in immediately for the first team squad. Assuming it's real he's either loaned now or in the summer imo. Happy to be proven wrong but can't imagine plucking an 18yo from Red Star Belgrade in January that he's the Cash upgrade we've been hoping for to improve us in the run in of this incredible season.
  18. Random enough that I'll believe it, perhaps a KKH replacement for the Academy.
  19. Why did Emi take a full 30 seconds to take his GK?
