  1. Kalvin Phillips to West Ham for £50m, or at least they've bid that, he'd be a top signing. Would also make me feel better about spending £40-50m on Bissouma
  2. Weird as now they're talking €19m to Spurs, much less than the £30m from the other day
  3. Wouldn't have had a training session even if he was registered, think he'll be in there next week
  4. At least if Spurs sign Bentancur then they probably are out of the running to sign Dougie
  5. Assuming Bentancur is a 6 (unconvinced) this may push it along.
  6. I think the ecstasy of the middle two being offset at the derision of the other two is almost exactly what I'd have expected of Villa to be honest I do agree with you on Coutinho and Digne though, I wouldn't have believed it. Those 2, Martinez contract till 2027 and a DM would've been the absolute dream window.
  7. I was actually going to suggest Wan-Bissaka as an alternative if we were forced into selling Cash. Lamptey would be my favoured one but I think AWB can be the best defensive RB Inthe league on his day. He's nowhere near attacking enough but I think it would allow us to bring KKH through, KKH can play against the Bottom 6 and really develop and play the attacking football we want. But then when we play the Top 8, we'd likely favour the defensive attributes of AWB. The other 5 teams just whoever is in the best form. (Cash > Lamptey > AWB still for me, but he's an option that might be available at a reduced fee)
  8. 'Sources close to the player' I think the whole thing is going to be them positioning for the best new contract possible. Hedges the bets well enough that even the source is saying how much he loves it here and he's happy so nobody can say he was causing an issue in the dressing room but refused to rule a move out to give it legs. He'll sign a new contract between now and end of summer and this 'interest' will vanish imo.
  9. How is it? The Sun have mentioned it with a £10m range for a potential price and literally nobody else has spoken of it. How is it looking like it's going to happen?
  10. We have a *potentially* far better player in KKH. If we sell Cash we have to replace. Chambers can be emergency backup but we couldn't rely on him as a marauding fullback in a European push. I think KKH has an opportunity to win the shirt next season too, but selling all viable options, not replacing them and then handing him the starting position in a team demanding Europe after he's had 18 games in the 4th Tier of English football is a recipe for disaster. For him and for us.
  11. £40m would be a great deal for Cash but who do you buy? £40m you can buy an upgrade but either you go the Digne-route and buy a top player who is a bit older, or you go try and tempt a Lamptey-type who is young enough to play for years. Both could have an adverse impact on Kesler, an older player less so but then you have a LB and RB pushing 30. Cash is in the Goldilocks-zone where he is not so good that Kesler can't come through and compete with him, whilst Cash is still good, consistent and young enough that he has good sell on value. At some point though, having players with sell on value need to start...well, being sold for good value.
  12. It's negligible but Arsenal fans convinced it's £2m not a free transfer.
  13. It's pretty clear he's joining as Axel's replacement. CB and RB cover, DM if desperate, exactly the same as Axel. This is our 4th choice. I think in the summer either Hause will have a minimum release clause in his new deal and we bumped his pay for 6 months to keep him through the season amid West Ham interest...Or Mings will leave. Chambers/Hause/Konsa/Mings will not be how we anticipate our CB options being come August I don't think.
  14. I keep changing my mind on whether I respect that Percy's complete devotion to the art of the 'tap-in'meant that he didn't report something he knew about. Or whether I would've preferred a reporter to report his info without it being gospel from the horse's mouth first
  15. £40m would be the line I think, not bad wedge for someone who'll be in the last year of their contract come the summer and allegedly we haven't been sure about signing up to a new contract before now. Still hope we don't sell but £40m would be right on the line of where it becomes decent business I think. Hopefully we don't accept regardless. If it's Newcastle don't accept anything less than £100m
  16. I'd really like Ibrahim Sangare from PSV if one of our other DM options doesn't work out. 3.5 years left on his contract. Went there from Toulouse for €9m, so you'd think £12-16m would probably get him and only recently turned 24
  17. Literally the entire conversation based off this. If we can't base opinions on tweets anymore close board down
  18. Exactly what will happen with anything Mark Goldbridge says... Nothing.
  19. We are taking vast differences from £75k to £150k though. Literally two Ndidi's if we think that's what he's on. None of the players we have discussed are on £100k according to that tweet.
  20. Mark Goldbridge has no inside information he's just a crying, whingeing loser with a YouTube channel and a Twitter following to rile up about the decline of United. He'll just be posting the Marseille fans rumour + hyperbole to appeal to United fans. The Marseille rumour would've come from Fabrizios tweet earlier in the week. It's Bentancur.
