  1. Vlaar and Senderos started the season as our first choice centre back, both Baker and Clark got in at centre back ahead of Okore when we had injuries so if you put a tiny bit of thought into it then you can conclude that Okore has been 5th choice centre back.....
  2. If the manager is not culpable for what happens on a football pitch why does any manager ever get the sack? Infact, what's the point in having a manager? Ofcourse the manager takes alot of blame for what is going on on the pitch but that doesn't mean that he is to blame for everything that goes on on the pitch does it?
  3. Guzan - 7 (made important saves and did nothing wrong bar his kicking) Hutton - 8 (top class again) Okore - 4 (just idiotic and cost us the game) Clark - 7 (looked strong and had a solid game) Cissokho - 6 (got up and down well but no end product) Sanchez - 5 (hit and miss, he is sooo dodgy) Westwood - 8 (Had a great game and played some quality passes) Cleverley - 7 (linked well with midfield and attack) Cole - 9 (a different class to any of our forwards and created so much of our attacks) Weimann - 8 (lovely ball for the goal and had a good game) Gabby - 5 (should of had a goal and gave the ball away needlessly in the build up to the peno) Grealish - 6 (kept the ball well) Richardson - 5 (ok) Lambert - 8 (tactics were spot on and if we had a decent striker we would of scored a few more) Overall we got beaten by an individual error and should of been out of sight before Burnley got the peno.
  4. 5th choice centre back plays due to injury and gives away one of the stupidest penos you'll see and threw the game away for us all on his own. Quick get those brains working as to how Lambert can be blamed for that, I'm sure there is some pathetic spin that will be put on it to find a way of blaming the manger....
  5. Total bs, we have controlled the game second half and have been done by an individual mistake from a high ball when there was no danger. Threw it away
  6. Muck from Cleverley there ffs he should of put Weimann down the wing
  7. Clark just looks to of got his shit together regardless of who he is playing beside, hope he keeps it up.
  8. We look soft from crosses and free kicks other than that we are well in control of the game bar Sanchez who should be off for Richardson imo, atleast Richardson can keep possession. Sanchez looking like he is trying to give them a goal at times...
  9. Brilliant performance so far and we would be much more comfortable if Sanchez could get his act together. Joe Cole has been immense and it was a great ball from Weimann. Westwood looks like a different player with Cole ahead of him, someone who can actually hold onto the ball and help open things up for other players. Gabby has looked really dangerous also and Cleverley is playing well.
  10. Cole plays instead of Zogbia, Robinson and Grealish on the bench
  11. The timing of his departure leads me to be suspicious, hardly makes sense to be let go on the eve of a game does it.? I wouldn't at all be surprised if there is more to this story than is being made out, guess we will have to wait for his next book to find out...
  12. Once again Roy Keane shows himself to be a complete tool. I actually thought he had changed for the good but the last couple of months and now this has proved that he is still a moron. Bring in someone that loves Villa and gives a shit about the club. Martin Laursen please!
  13. No no no... it's all about net spend today as that's the best argument the pessimistic short-sighted brigade can conjure up to have a go at Lambert. Tune into the Paul Lambert thread tomorrow for more boring dribble that makes no sense and has only one agenda....
  14. He still looks dodgy and does some silly things, it's quite obvious that he is gonna take a long time to settle into the Premier League. I was glad he went off last night as he was starting to fall apart and losing the ball way too easy. He needs to learn to play the easy ball instead of trying to do too much too soon.
  15. Great news that he has been recalled, he didn't look out of place when he played for us last season and looked capable of making things happen. He has being playing on the wing for PNE so he will of had some experience out wide which will give us more options than having Bent on the bench.
  16. It's the progress on the pitch regards to the style of play rather than the positional placing which is the biggest concern. Our football is awful. We haven't a clue how to attack teams or dictate play. Teams with worse squads play better stuff. We are not going to challenge for anything so at least try to entertain when we are struggling. Look at West Ham they were awful last season but a change in philosophy and they're doing better with virtually the same players. Valencia, Sakho, Cresswell, Jenkinson and Song are all regulars for West Ham this season so your point is wrong!
  17. Great post that will most likely be ignored by the majority in this thread as it's hard for even the most pessimistic people to argue against fact!! Add all the major injuries on top of the financial constraints and it's an achievement in itself that we are still in the Premier League. Lambert is having to do whatever it takes to keep us competitive, we have had the hardest start out of all the teams in the league and are in an ok position to now hopefully pick up some wins vs the lesser teams and move up the table.
  18. Solid all round performance last night, hopefully we set up to have a go vs Burnley and he can play a more advanced role.
  19. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/west-ham-sunderland-eye-transfer-4687768? Cameroon midfielder who played just 8 games for the Villans in 2 years after a £6m move in 2011 is back on Prem sides' radar.
  20. The best thing about that was the way we reacted after conceding the goal, we took the game to them and didn't sit too deep like previous games. That's a great result for us with all things considered. I thought Clark was brilliant and had his best game for us in a long time, fair play to him. It was good to see Okore play well and he looked strong and calm. Hutton was good. Westwood had a decent game and got stuck in as well as playing some really nice passes to get us out on the counter. Gabby and Weimann had decent games apart from the goal when they both take a bit of the blame. Clark MOTM edit: we get a draw vs the team second in the league and restrict them to barely any good chances and certain folk still can't see any positives....what a surprise.....Just to point out to some of you, we were missing Vlaar, Delph, Senderos, Baker and Benteke while Southampton had there full strength team out.!!!!!
  21. He might get us playing more flowing football Oh no...what have I started.
  22. I'd like us to forget about signing Tom Cleverley and go for the likes of Doucoure from Stade Rennais : http://www.transfermarkt.com/abdoulaye-doucoure/profil/spieler/127187. He has been beasting it again this season for Stade Rennais and is still just 21. I'd also like us to sign Daniel Wass from Evian who has shown this season that he is a top player and really stands out in an average team : http://www.transfermarkt.com/daniel-wass/profil/spieler/63463.
  23. You can edit the jerseys to be exact replicas except for the emblem and markings. Took me 5 minutes to do Villas jersey using a tutorial on youtube. The gameplay is great guys, don't be getting so hung up on a small detail like having dafabet on the jersey.
