It's the closest they'll ever come to feeling like they've won something. We know there's a chance of real glories. We just hate the sad bastards.

    I'm not sure that a second city derby is the best place to get a feel for the pace of the Premiership. Salifou can wait i think!

    Arsenal could only draw, so we're now 5 points clear with 11 games to go. Next up for us, the team in third; Arsenal, followed by the team in second; small heath (!) Both away. Win these two and we're on our way.

    I'm not sure that a referendum has been promised or is a standing commitment from government, but I'd like one anyway.

    I'm not sure if this helps Hev, but if these are "Flights" coaches, their base is in Aston, it makes sense for them to drop off in the city centre first before finishing in Aston and putting the coaches to bed for the night.

    Cheers Pete, great report as ever, it would have been easy to overcook that. It looked on the TV like we started with Barry, Petrov and Osbourne centrally with Maloney down the left and Young down the right. It's interesting that it didn't look that way to those that could see the whole pitch. TV can be a bit misleading from time to time, or perhaps I was just looking for something that made sense. Let's hope next weeks lamb is a touch tastier, and our desert of knicker-sellers glory goes down sweetly. Otherwise I can feel a touch of mid-table indigestion coming on.

    Would you expect him to start next sunday based on his display last night? It's hard to say. Based purely on this performance I'm not sure I would, but it's not just his performance that will decide, it's whether Knights performance against Utd is good enough to keep him in the team as well. Personally I'd pick Davies over Knight on Sunday. I bet they'll both train hard this week!

    Ain't that the truth! Strangely it seems to me like we're currently as difficult to predict as I can remember. I still think this side could finish anywhere from 6th to 17th!

    I've got to say, I agreed with just about everything in that. This game should have been given to a referee with more experience of making the big decisions in big games, like Howard Webb, or Steven Gerrard.

    General, Thanks for the kind words on the fans and I hope your back is better soon. (I hope Randy's is now better as well.) The club went years without a backbone and we'll need you two to look after yours! On being a supporter, how has your time here changed the way you are as a fan? Do you feel differently at games now to when you first started to attend? OBE
