  1. Statement signing needed. Raheem Sterling. Out of favour at city, plays sporadically even when he is in favour. fits into the English core of the team, outstanding player and would play week in week out for us next season firing us into europe. We are minted and need to start making really ambitious signings. Don't think for a second we could pull it off but would love it if we were to try
  2. Thought it was slightly bizarre that on a show held during a protest against the man utd owners who have managed to turn a debtless in into one with a debt of £450m, the pundits decide that utd need to buy kane and grealish - £200m+ of footballing talent. Just for shits and giggles, where do you think villa would have finished this season if jack hadn't played a single game?
  3. Double sub please. Barkley and el ghazi off for Davies and Ramsey
  4. https://twitter.com/mjmarr_star/status/1386607242443698177?s=19 Last night just the 5th game villa have played since the start of the 2010/11 season where they have been mathematically safe from relegation. No wonder we are a stressed out bunch
  5. Taking loadsa drugs and playing cod. Living the dream that boy . Seriously though, that's a pretty high profile gig
  6. Not wanting to buy a good striker because we already have a good one is small time mentality. Personally id start ollie for some of these remaining games at left wing and see what he does. strikers usually have good crossing instincts and his workrate means that he will probably find himself in the box as often as he does now playing up front on his own. i also really like watching davis play and bully centre backs so would stick him upfront. fella deserves a goal
  7. everything is spin with these scum. note how some of them are wording it that they are withdrawing from the group discussing the proposal to form a super league. They'd already signed up for the damn thing, withdrawn from that european football board and would be laughing their way to the bank right now if they been allowed to get away with it. own it you cowards and say it like it is
  8. Take 20% off each of their salary caps. This will stop them paying their way to success, getting themselves into such financial dire straits that they have to form a cartel, and will recycle great players into other teams thus levelling the playing field. Boom. Sorted
  9. so i can only presume that Financial Fair Play has been a monstrous failure if the European Super League is the only way these clubs can stay afloat? one can dream but I sincerely hope that a rationalisation of footballer transfer fees and wages comes out of this somehow
  10. as much as i hate to say it I do agree with Klopp that the players and managers are not the ones who should be targetted or abused for this. the club owners - those too spineless to come out and explain the decisions themselves are the only people who should be getting grief at this point
  11. Surely they will be able to spend less on player fees and wages because their income stream will no longer be dependent on qualifying for european football (by beating 16 other teams over the course of a season in an open competition) and does this not mean that the "product" that they are so keen to share wiith their emerging markets will actually decline in quality when they no longer have to target the top players?
  12. Think he's gonna be busy tomorrow voting to kick those clearings in the woods out of the league
  13. When villa are warming up I want them wearing t shirts with a picture of the European cup on it with the words "Earned it"
  14. cant wait to see next seasons fixture list. Thursday 9am kick offs for the greedy 6 I would hope! I would also like to see an agressive uprising on illegal streaming and sharing on the internet - everyone banding together to remove any semblence of revenue streams for them all though ironically I probably still wouldnt watch. BT getting the rights to Champs League kinda killed any interest I ever had in it anyway
  15. Servant. Creepy mystery show from m night shyamalan. It's excellent
  16. It must be frustrating for trez to see all the God given natural physical talents that AEG has while he battles against the odds to make a career despite such a comparative lack of obvious athleticism. Get well soon trezzy
  17. It was a close cropped video of RB just before Liverpool scored their winner. It appeared to show him mooching around, throwing his arms up and complaining instead of pressing, running or tackling. Some people argue that it was maybe out of context but personally I just thought it summed up what I see from him all the time. But yes it appears to have been removed from twitter for copyright reasons so sorry bout that
  18. I watch him quite closely in most games he plays - mainly because I was so excited about him joining us. Can confirm that this is fairly representative of his defensive approach to the game. He always gets in the vague vicinity of the player with the ball but never EVER actually attempts to take the ball or make the tackle. I guess he can claim that, statistically or analytically or whatever that he is doing what is asked of him defensively but he demonstrates zero desire or effort to win back the ball. It's as if it's beneath him to do so
  19. This is after 5 minutes on the pitch...
  20. I think it's pretty clear that we won't be signing him permanently. But it will annoy me so much if Chelsea manage to get the purported £30m+ for him. The big club tax is real.as is the English born player tax. Wanna see Chelsea take a big hit on this one
  21. Dean Smith said something about the energy which Jacob Ramsey showed when he came on yesterday. Maybe a dig at Barkley?
  22. Traore is proper mental isn't he. From the sublime to the ridiculous and back again. I honestly don't think he knows what he is doing half the time yet he has such moments of brilliance in his locker. I love him. I also like angry Ramsey. Definitely my favourite version. He was snappy and was bullying players when he came on. Whoever pissed in his chips should do it more often because he was excellent. Although in my head I call him Jacob Jamsey based on him JJ nickname. More credit needed for Davis's assist.he intensely pressured the Fulham players twice to gain possession and his cross was perfect. Was nice to see 2 up top but I may be old fashioned in that view
  23. 'Wayne' on prime is absolutely brilliant. Violent, mental story about a wee psycho guy going on a roadtrip with a girl to find a car. Music, acting, dialogue all top class. Highly recommended
