  1. Magical Sevilla, playing Spurs off the pitch at the moment. How many years do you reckon Spurs are behind Sevilla, I'll say 25. :winkold:
  2. Meelan- Liverpool part 2 please. Realistically, think it'll be Manure- Chelsea though.
  3. Well, he scored 2 goals in his first 3 games for Fulham aswell.
  4. Toure and Muntari are good players, certainly wouldn't disagree with Sid there. Obviously the likes of Djemba-Djemba and Zokora were good for their national team and in the french league, never happened for EDD and Zokora's had a hit-and-miss season. Think Muntari will end up at Pompey.
  5. The same Scott Parker who's currently being booed by Barcodes fans for his poor performances?! lmao.
  6. if Manure had wanted JPA, he'd have been off like a shot.
  7. That Chelsea goal and performance was pretty important, probably gave us our best victory in recent years. Can't think of too many more though tbf.
  8. Gabby. Is Ridgewell too old for this then?
  9. Neither. Good bloke, good striker at times, not so at others and should've gone last summer really.
  10. Bodmer is good. Been impressed with his performances in the champions league over the last few seasons and he has a good partnership with Makoun who frequnetly links himself to Manure and Arsenal. That said, remember the last french midfielder we signed with the initals M.B. :?
  11. I wouldn't want any of them at the Villa. Hyped up, super hyped up and mediocre. All of them mediocre really. BTW, I see we are linked with Darren Fletcher for a move in the summer. If we do sign him I will stop supporting MON/AVFC until Fletch is either retired or sold on to another club! Nah, I think I'd stop supporting if we signed O'Shea, Richardson or Brown. :winkold:
  12. I'm on the left. :winkold: http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/2411/crevoanhenryqs9.jpg' alt='crevoanhenryqs9.jpg'>
  13. Really wanted to sign him in August but hasn't impressed a great deal there and can't even get in the team so I think age has caught up with him.
  14. Not too keen on Gardner from what I've seen and he still hasn't defined his best position, did well at RB at Spurs for instance. Think Ozzy will be the one who makes the bigger long term impact.
  15. Why does that not surprise me! Saw bits of the re-run on Sky this afternoon, can't se what Gale has done wrong and tbh I was in shock that one of the worst Sky commentators Ian Darke wasn't doing our game as he pretty much always does.
  16. I've read those player statements and I think it's a bit of a stretch to say they all would have left if DOL was still here TBH. I think the situation of unhappiness which hung over the club was more down to a lack of ambition being shown rather than a dislike of the manager, but you or I will never know that for sure. I'm inclined to think that sticking with DOL would have seen us do better this season than we have so far under MON. How much better though?! 14th in the league as opposed to 15th? At least this season under MON, we have learnt the ability of beating lower teams away from home in the cup. With O'dreary's dismal record in the cups, we'd have lost to Scunny or Leicester so no free trip down to Chelsea.
  17. Bouma 3.5m Baros 6.5m Hughes 1m Phillips Around 1m, might be less. Taylor 500k Pretty much 13m there. Players who were unhappy. Well Moore, Angel and Mellberg all came out and say they would've left without a change of manager and they were 3 key cornerstones of that unbeaten run early on. Also out player of the season Mr Barry, wasn't he only persuaded to stay after MON gave him the captain's armband, hardly indicates to me he wanted to stay under O'dreary. Players statement aswell, Sorensen didn't exactly rush to defend him. The above leads me to indicate there's no chance O'dreary would've even got close to the run we went on at the start of the season and so would've been sacked, if not before.
  18. I don't think we're in any position to attract really world class players at the moment, the likes of Spurs and Everton don't do it (fair enough Berbatov but he wasn't that well known by people in England). We can still scout in England though and build our squad that away without spending too much. I'd happily have Distin and Sidwell, also get Milner in as he's cheaper and better than SWP and we need more cover on the right. Can't think of a RB so maybe MON can find one from abroad. Need someone who can score goals alongside Carew, Mpenza had a decent pedigree and was playing in Qatar and has scored 2 in 2 for Man. City so wouldn't mind someone like Alex Frei as Dortmund look like they're going down. Of course this is where we could make a statement of intent and sign someone for big money so Darren Bent fits the bill.
  19. I respect your opinion but fail to see how you can believe that in all honesty. Wouldn't say we're much better on the pitch at the moment as we're pretty much in the same league postion and same points total as we had this time last season and I wouldn't say the football played is much better. However the time to jusge MON is halfway through next season and I'm very confident we'll have a better 2nd and 3rd season under him than under O'dreary.
  20. Amusing if England miss ount on 2nd by goal difference.
  21. Watching Scots which has been an excellent match so far....Norn Ireland Sweden ain't bad either, couple of villa players in there. Surely England aren't so bad they haven't scored in 41 minutes against a pub team??!!!!
  22. I understand Barca want him. Would prefer Van der Vaart or Diego as the fantasy signing.
  23. I like Tommy and he's done well this season but Boruc would certainly be an upgrade and at 4m a bargain. Must improved other positions before we look at goalkeeper though.
