Kendrick wouldn't have been given a go ahead to announce it unless we were extremely confident.

I'll be honest, the thing I hate about Villa is the fans. Yeah the players aren't great and overpaid and dont put a shift in, we dont have investment... but Its not that that I've got bored and annoyed with. It's the fans, the certain posters and tweeters who cant be anything other than incessantly pissed off. Personal abuse of management, the constant Mc'InsertInsult' names last season - pathetic. Booing at HT of our first home game, Banners every-****-season wanting somebody out. I cant remember the last time in my life where we didnt want 'SOMEBODY out'. People refusing to go to VP whilst McLeish was there and yet there were still 5k missing this week. It's not every fan, a lot on here and on twitter are insightful, enjoy football and have some good points to make but the constant bitching and moaning and the incessant whinging is just tiresome and it's making me lose my love of the game. Some people just seem to enjoy having something to moan about.

Nzogbia was Plan A,B and C at Wigan and had an alright partnership with Rodallega thats why he got so many goals and assists there. He doesn't pass, he doesn't cross. He always tries and takes on half of the opposition. In '09-'11 I'm also confident that he attempted more dribbles than any other player in the top 5 european leagues bar Lionel Messi. Except Nzogbia didnt complete hardly any of them as he is nowhere near as skilled and his head is always looking at his feet.

i.e. The 'kids' are good enough individually to play in the Premier league, put one of them in Fulham's team, one in Norwich, one at Stoke's, one in our's etc etc, they'd get playing time, look like good prospects and maybe make a career at Premier League level. Throw them all together and expect them to finish Top 10 and your going to be severely dissappointed and more of those players aren't going to make it, as they are still playing alongside their Reserves Friends, they arent learning from experienced professionals like they should be. (and the experienced players we have are dog awful too)

As mentioned already we could easily have blooded these kids younger and in a better way. Giving Clark a run of games at CB with one of Herd/Bannan/Gardner in midfield. Later on possibly giving Baker some games at CB with another midfielder and gradually giving more games to the ones who outperform expectations. Throwing Clark, Baker, Lichaj, Herd, Bannan, Albrighton, Gardner, Carruthers and Weimann into situations where the club is relying on them performing beyond expectations for relatively young players in their first season-or-so in the premier league is whats ruining not only our club but also their careers. Our squad is so poor we currently miss not having 18 yr old Carruthers in the squad to give us a wide outlet. Thats how bad it's gotten. Carruthers should be a Capitol-One Cup player and maybe getting the odd few minutes, however we find ourself in a position of (presuming we dont buy a winger) praying the kid comes back from injury quickly. tl;dr: We need investment.
