I know we were down to 10 men but fook me that second half was bad. It was backs to the wall against 'kin Norwich. Gabby went off far too early, Holman and Albrighton were dong nothing, one of them should have gone off for Lichaj. I think Bent and Ireland need to be starting at home, we can't afford to have the few payers we have with any quality sitting on the bench.
The swimming seems a bit unfair. You have dwarves, people with no arms, and people with no legs all competing in the same race. Surely having as many categories as they do should have narrowed it down more than that.
It's depressing isn't it. All these players we let go because they weren't good enough; Routledge, Gardner, Whittingham, Steven Davis, Cahill, Maloney. They'd all now walk into our first-team. Probably not Sidwell though.
Injuries and then after that there seemed to be a lack of desire. Wasted the last 3 years playing for Man Utd reserves, and seemed perfectly happy with that.
City have Tevez and Aguero, a potentially great partnership and Dzeko and Balotelli in reserve, they don't need him. If they do get him it will be to weaken a rival more than anything else.
People keep saying that about Shearer but I don't think he's all that bad, better than Hansen anyway who ran out of insightful things to say years ago.
Lucky escape there, can easily see us not making it out of the group, Sweden are pap. Young, Milner, Parker are not England class but it's not like we have many other options. Rooney back for the next game but he's been largely shit for England when it matters.
It's a little different true, but it's racial abuse so you'd expect all of them to find it pretty damn offensive. Plus he clearly wants to join up, so to keep him out of the squad for non-footballing reasons (which it's pretty clear he is being now) is grossly unfair.
Ferdinand should be in the squad, I don't think it would be awkward, you'd just expect him to get on with it like a professional, just like the other black/mixed race players in the squad are doing.
