I do feel with Jack out we should be playing with 2 up top, Jonathan and Tammy. Without jack we have no creative midfielder to take his place losing our threat going forward.

DM that's a passer. In the mould of Carrick or Westwood. Westwood didn't work for us as we weren't a team that ditacte play. We were struggling against the drop. We needed a fighter back then. We were a counter attacking team We are now a completely different team. We are now a possession based team. The midfield 3 of Grealish McGinn and Carroll seems great to me. He is an upgrade on Hourihane in the deep playing midfielder role. That's when we were playing our best football. Happy with this signing. Feels like a proper Smith signing and I love that no one knew about the deal too. Going about our business quietly.

Middlesbrough have signed Mikel, I would of liked to have seen him come this way.

I think people are forgetting how clumsy Nyland was. Every cross into our box looked like it could go in. I don't feel as nervous with Kalinic in goal. I think he has a stronger character to push on than Nyland

He is a player that can change a game. He likes to run at players and is very good in the box. The formation hasn't been working without jack. Maybe playing more 442 is the way while he is still injured. His work rate is questionable. I wouldn't sell but I can see why he would want to leave to get game time. He is Ivory Coasts striker but not for long if he doesnt get games
