  1. Hello Chewie, nice to see another Villa fan here in the Philippines
  2. The clueless one broke another club record yesterday.Never in the long history of Villa v Liverpool games had Liverpool managed to win 4 games on the trot at Villa Park. Sadly i think he will break a few more by the end of the season.
  3. As i feared, the clueless one did not have the balls to start Gil. He had to fit his favourites Westwood,Cleverley,Delph and Gabby in,so it was always going to be the bench at most . Where was Cole, injured again i suppose
  4. Bunnski, just about any striker would be a major upgrade on Gabby !
  5. Inside Man (2006) I really enjoyed this movie, one of the best i have seen for a while.Denzel Washington was brilliant i thought, with Clive Owen and Jodie Foster also pretty good.A 8/10 in my book
  6. Castles In The Sky (2014) A enjoyable film set in England during wartime England. It is the story of the guy who invented Radar.Eddie Izzard who i must admit i had only ever thought of as a comedian was really good in his role as Robert Watson Watt. I rated it a 7/10
  7. Someone earlier in the thread said we can not blame Learner for the lack of goals. I disagree, he is the man who keeps the clueless one in his job,so therefore must be happy with the way his manager is playing
  8. We could do worse than the "Fat spanish waiter" I read somewhere yesterday that he will be leaving his present job at the end of the season and would like a return to England.
  9. Hope And Glory (1987) I really enjoyed watching this film. It is a story about a young boys life during war time England. It brought back memories of stories my mother use to tell me of how things were during her childhood, the good old days as she use to call them! 7/10 for me
  10. Dire! There again what is new,no different to the Blackpool,Palace and Sunderland games if we are honest. More worrying as far as i am concerned is the fact that not only did we lose to the leagues bottom team,we were outplayed and it could and should have been 5 or 6
  11. I struggle to get my head around how a manager whose team has failed to score in 12 out of of 21 games and just 11 all season continues to play the same way and pick the same players game after game. He continues to play with two defensive midfielders ,in fact i would go as far as to say it is three as i dont see Cleverley as a attacking midfielder. He refuses to play a winger,so we have no width to give one of the best headers in the league any service at all.He insists on playing Gabby and Wiemann although both have proved time after time they just cant score Why bring Robinson back from Preston and then not give the kid a single minute on the pitch. I have watched him many times in the youth and reserve teams and the kid scores goals and he had started to score for Preston just before he was recalled. He may not be good enough for the Premier, but we will never know unless he is given a chance.Besides,he could hardly do any worse could he.
  12. Poseidon (2006) I was unaware of this film.I have seen the Poseidon Adventure several times and in my opinion it is a very good film. While this film is worth watching ,i don't think its as good 6/10
  13. Small heath never fail to make me smile .Have just heard the most hated person at the Sty Pannu has been re elected back on to the board, while Panos who has been running things has failed to be re elected. Expect the fire sale soon.
  14. Nice to hear praise about our club from a visting supporter
  15. I woke up this morning to read that Lambert was surprised at sections of the crowd were calling for him to be sacked during the Blackpool match. He could'nt understand it,as we had most of the play and were playing really well. God the bloke is a bigger idiot than i thought. Two goals in the last five games, Twelve all season and three wins in the last seventeen games and he is surprised we are not happy!
  16. Odette (1950) Came across this war film by chance and it was a decent watch. It is about a woman who joins the resistance and if your into war films i would recommend it. A 7/10 for me
  17. Not for me thank you, one of my workmates who is a baggies fan said he was awful and did'nt look interested. As someone mentioned, he is better known for going shopping with his missus Helen Flanagan these days than for his football
  18. Yet another piece of bad management, lack of vision, call it what you will. Our clueless manager failed to insert a clause in the loan of Robinson to Preston that he would not be allowed to play in the cup.Seeing as the lad has not been given a single minute since he came back ,maybe the clueless one thought it was'nt worth the bother As for the score, the law of averages says we must score,so 1-1
  19. The Eagle Has Landed (1976) Another classic war film i like and have watched countless times. A 8/10 for me.
  20. I must look out for those films you mentioned MakemineVanilla. I have heard of the Went The Day Well but not The Way Ahead.
  21. Aston Villa 0 God how many times have we seen this under the clueless one!
  22. How a manager with such a record keeps his job only Learner knows !
  23. Bottom in four of those tables and bottom but one in the other four tables. You have to hand it to the Lambert ,he is consistently bad if nothing else.
  24. In Which We Serve (1942) This is the first film i can recall watching as a kid. In my opinion it is one of the all time classic war films and god only knows how many times i have watched it .In my book a 8/10
  25. I read somewhere yesterday the game with Sunderland was the 20th time under the clueless one that we have failed to score at home .That is more than a season of home games.Just how bad has this man got to be before our dozy owner wakes up to the fact he is not up to the job of being manager of Aston Villa?
