Anywhere ideas for a pre-match drink and sing yet? Four of us getting into Burton about 11am looking for somewhere to rock up!

Depends how you want to do it. Premier Travel are looking at doing a coach trip getting there on the morning of the game and leaving late at night (time for a few beers) which will be reasonably cheap. Flights seem to have got too expensive now. If we can't get flights, we're getting coach from Town - London, London - Brussels & Brussels to Bremen, then staying till late night Monday and doing return journey. Costing about £115 which is pretty decent, plus Hostel stays costing about £20.

Looks like we've got three nights stay over there for £187 each. 2 nights in Bremen and another night in the city the airport is in...! Just need to get the passport renewed and I'm there.

Giving a time of nearly two hours to get back to Crewe on the Replacement Buses. You may get away with getting a train to Manchester then down from there. On the way up, instead of advising buses, it advises changing at Crewe and Chester, which seems to be a little quicker, so would be worth looking at for the way back. Another thing worth maybe trying is changing at Warrington Bank Quay/Central.

Split at Peterborough if you're coming from Midlands too. Think ours are going to be about £50 return to Great Yarmouth overnight with doing that.

I suppose their masses of Premier League experience have brought you to that conclusion? Andi Weimann will be a top top player if he keeps excelling like he is, which is exactly the same with Samir Carruthers.

This does actually make me feel so much better about the Villa. Whilst it is horrendous watching Heskey lumbering around in a Villa shirt, at least there's only one of him.

How did you hear Lower Only? The lower area only holds 2576, whereas I think the upper holds 3000?

Looking at their ticket site there's either a large amount of segregation or its their biggest attendance of the season. I also have one spare ticket at the moment, could go quickly. EDIT - Sold.

Whilst this could be better in Off Topic, I think your problem is staying overnight!! Couldn't get Newcastle cheaper than £90, whereas for Sunderland we had it well below £50!! As for your Wigan split, would it not be cheaper to get Nottingham > Stockport, Stockport > Wigan Wallgate?

If anybody has missed out on Advance fares, you can save a Tenner or so by going via Manchester. Split tickets at Stafford and Stockport, costs just under £30

Anybody know if there will still be tickets available on the day? Could really do with knowing and when I phoned the Ticket Office they said they won't know until Friday!?

Apparently we have sold a fair few more than the 5,000. My guess is we've taken the vast majority of the lower tier of one end, starting from the normal corner. I'd guess at 6,500, but we'll have to see.

Problem we had with Ireland when he first came in, was that nobody seemed to have any idea where he played. Starting him at Newcastle in the middle, and a couple of other games too, was completely bizarre, and wouldn't have helped his confidence, especially when he got dropped. I think if he keeps on improving, then he will be at least a £15m player. Not only is he recreating what he did at City, but it seems he actually wants to do more... Tracking back, tackling etc... trying hard for the team in general. A player like that who tries hard, with the talent he has, is an extremely valuable type of player to have in your side.

I agree with it seeming a bit of a pain. Think we'll just cut the cost and get a train about 2 as well, have a couple of cans on there.
