Favourite goal out of that lot was the Palace goal. Fantastic day out with a late Petrov equaliser. Perfect. I've always supported Petrov, like I do now with Ireland. I feel though that they get the same treatment, probably because they're not the perfect Centre Midfielders we want. They do different jobs to your bog standard player and I love them both for what they do, especially Stan!!

I agree with all of this. He will come good again in his career, I can guarantee that. I can see it being soon. I hope he's fit for Stoke so can fit in there again. The bit in bold is exactly what I've thought since people started slagging him off. He hasn't been amazing, but he's been effective at times. Hope everyone keeps getting behind him, he absolutely loved it last night. The support for him last night was really good to see as it was fully deserved. Shame he had to come off.

Ireland did exactly what he was good at last night. His passing was excellent, his running off the ball was good & he battled pretty hard. Deserved the applause when he went off, let's hope he can carry it on - we do have a superb Footballer on our hands. McLeish said he was never going to last the game but the injury tweaked a bit earlier. Should be back soon. Let's get on side like VP did last night when he made that challenge and hopefully, he can come good, even if it is 16 months after he joined!

He really never looked like making it over the years, but his rise is well deserved. I absolutely love Herdy. Not only does he work hard, he does exactly what he has to with minimal fuss. Seen him lose the ball a few times, but that will stop the more experienced he gets.

Here's my report for the weekend.... Bolton Wanderers v Aston Villa is the game to bet on. Result to be 2-2 is at 14/1 - several times over the past few years this result has come up. I think. You can get 4+ goals @ 11/5 which is nice odds, and despite Villas lack of goals lately, very likely. Aston Villa to score first & last @ 11/4. Total Goals over 2.5 is 5/6 which is worth a big stake. Darren Bent will score. Anytime is 6/4. Ivan Klasnic will also score - on great form against Villa in his time in England. 7/4 Anytime. Kevin Davies Hattrick @ 40/1 could be worth a pound. Aston Villa & Draw double chance is 1.47/1 which isn't bad either.

Don't know the odds, but expect Over 2.5 and Over 3.5 would be good bets. Added to that I think 2-2 is available @ 14/1 which is very realistic. Both Teams To Score should be about 8/11.

I would also love to take 2 or 3 references off someones hands. Usually get tickets through Lions Club but there's no allocation for this game. To add insult to injury, a couple of the lads have been to all but 1 away game this season, but don't have a Season Ticket. So if anyone can find a spare reference, there's a couple of pints in it!!

Don't know when on sale, but prices look like £20 terracing & £22.50 seating!
