  1. Group A Australia South Korea Oman Kuwait Group B Uzbekistan Saudi Arabia China North Korea Group C Iran UAE Qatar Bahrain Group D Japan Jordan Iraq Palestine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_AFC_Asian_Cup Live on British Eurosport 2
  2. In the Mali squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
  3. Named in the Australia squad for the Asian Cup next month.
  4. Guzan and Benteke? If Man U tried to buy them they'd be off in a heartbeat so I don't really care about them. With Gabby and Grealish it's different since they are local lads etc. But it would mean if a world class player was born in Birmingham we would be able to keep him so swings and roundabouts.
  5. He still plays for Portugal though who are considered to be a heavyweight in international football. It's not like he plays for Wales or Northern Ireland.
  6. Forster Clyne Smalling Cahill Shaw Wilshere Milner Oxlade-Chamberlain Downing Rooney Welbeck
  7. Good players without a doubt, not quite the worlds elite. But I guess it's all about opinions. There's only 2 or 3 elite players around at a time. Id say Scholes was in the worlds elite. Between 1995 & 2006 he was up there with zidane as the best midfielders in the world. Was he really? Never won PFA Player of the Year, never won MUFC Player Of The Year and only twice made it into the PFA Team of The Year. Compare that to Zidane who has won FIFA World Player of the Year three times, the Ballon d'Or, Serie A Footballer of the Year, French Player of the Year two times and Ligue 1 Player of Year.
  8. I think you"ll find Tamworth i does not lie within the borders of Birmingham , however it's not a bad brummie accent . Williams was the year below me at my high school in Tamworth. Also, Tamworth has 'B' postcodes so in that sense at least is part of Birmingham. Was he good?
  9. Liechtenstein beat Moldova as well. And Gibraltar only lost 4-0 to Germany.
  10. Wouldn't you be annoyed if you were an Irish player and your place in the squad was taken by an Englishman? Stephen Quinn even called Jack Grealish a plastic paddy when we played against Hull. I have no problem with Sterling and Berahino. I wouldn't have taken Hargreaves or Barnes though. McCarthy out. The Scots will have to focus all their booing on McGeady. Don't Barnes and Sterling have pretty much the same back story though? Both were born in Kingston, Jamaica, and both moved to England at an early age (Barnes at 12, Sterling at 5). Yeah I basically go by their accent. Sterling has a London accent whereas Barnes has a Jamaican one. Also there is a big difference between 5 and 12. Sterling spent most of his childhood in England whereas Barnes mostly grew up in Jamaica.
  11. I hope the clubs refuse to release their players unless the World Cup is played in the summer.

  13. Hope McCarthy doesn't miss his homecoming.
