  1. Think so. We have 7 defenders and 9 midfielders in the squad.
  2. This is a really misleading picture. His front foot didn't make contact with Valencia's shin as that picture shows. It's just perfectly timed to look that way. It was his trailing leg that caught him. Still a justified red, imo. But it wasn't quite as bad as that makes it look This
  3. Algeria only have 6 or 7 Algerian players in their squad. Should be called France B.
  4. I don't think he has the pace to play on the right. I'd play him on the left or centrally.
  5. Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Henderson Lallana Rooney Welbeck Sturridge Lallana on the right
  6. Peru are not bringing their best players for some reason - Jefferson Farfan, Claudio Pizarro, Paolo Guerrero, Juan Manuel Vargas will all be missing.
  7. I'd like to see us try Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Henderson Wilshere Lallana Rooney Sturridge
  8. I would rather have more foreigners, a better league and a smaller pool of higher quality Englishman. You can only take 23 to the World Cup and you can only play 11 in the team so having 100 or 200 players to pick from is irrelevant since most won't be good enough to get called up by England anyway.
  9. England are not poor. Northern Ireland are poor.
  10. Yes but his mom is Irish and he himself is Irish. He's clearly more Irish than Nigerian. So out of interest, if say your parents had moved to somewhere like Dubai for work purposes and you happened to be born and raised there, you'd consider yourself Emirati first and foremost would you? Most likely yes. You only have to look at Gabby. Nigerian dad, Scottish mom - he's English.

  12. What on Earth are you on about!? 1) God is only half Irish anyway. You could claim he's just as much Nigerian as he is Irish. 2) Jack identifies himself as Irish (AFAIK) and who are we to dismiss that? Not really. He grew up in Ireland while he has probably never set foot in Nigeria.
  13. Grealish is an Englishman of Irish descent. Paul McGrath is an Irishman born in England.
  14. Listen to that broad Dublin accent. His parents are irish so he qualifies through that. If you're gonna be a smart arse remember that England have capped players who haven't a single connection with England other than the fact that they lived and worked here. John Barnes and Tony Dorigo spring to mind, the latter was born and bred in Australia to Italian parents. My parents were Irish and I consider myself irish as well. There's a lot more to nationality than just where you were born. I would be against them playing for England if they were playing now. Fair enough he is of Irish descent but he is English first and foremost. Ireland should have some pride in their national team and stop picking Englishmen.
  15. Albrighton playing for another club is just wrong.
  16. Could have been winning the Euros with England U-17s today but they left him out because he had injury problems this season.
  17. 35k a week is hardly mega-bucks in the Premier League. How Leicester City can offer more wages than us is beyond me. Joke decision.
  18. Surely he is too old/established to be playing in that tournament?
