I'm not 100% sure Gerrard is gonna be the man, but this is where I am too. Luiz: Just don't do enough, not sure he is good enough Watkin's: Not scoring, poor performances, agreed by most fans McGinn: Not good enough lately, he would be one I would sell bring some money back in Ming's: Not sure he is as good as everyone thinks, but would probably keep him Ramsey: To inconsistant, just not there yet. There's five reasons Gerrard needs time. I hate West ham with a passion, but name 5 who you believe are truely not performing it their squad, or choose 5 in the Wolves squad yesterday?

Watching that back, it was never a penalty. Where was the keeper supposed to go, Watkin's ran into him.

My plumber pal hasn't got a thermostat in his house. He's a bit of a geek when it comes to central heating stuff and says if you balance all your radiators and set the boiler correctly, you will save around 30-40% on heating the house. Great I thought, but what the hell is he going on on about balancing radiators, without a thermostat??

1 decent player can make all the difference, look at Erikson at Brentford. It's ashame we don't see the same performances he puts out for Scotland.

If you watch him, he is a quick little player. No one is ever ready for what he is going to do. I've watched games and he looks for the pass after a bit of skill and our bunch of cloggers are no where near. Watkin's should be his best pal and play together, but he is just has no idea. Smith coached the team around Grealish, so players knew where to be.

He don't try hard enough to get in the right positions like he used to. 8 goals this season, an we wonder why we are struggling. Ing's should be our main man. "But bit he runs alot". Yeah but don't score goals!!

I've said it in other threads, when you have a striker who's lost his mojo, like can't score for shite and McGinn who performs only for Scotland lately, that's half your problem. Two major players, doing almost nothing. One thing I will winge at Gerrard for, is he obviously has his favorites. This don't work if you want to progress, you have to be ruthless as a manager, all the big boys show this

Mentality is a big issue, agreed. I never see the team annoyed that they have lost a game. They walked off today like it ment nothing. Gerrard needs to grow some big balls and drop players when they don't perform. To many players know they will be on the team sheet, poor game or not. To be fair though, when you have a striker as poor as Watkin's has been lately, that's going to be 50% of the problem.

One thing I always notice about a Villa team. They never seem to come off the pitch looking like they have worked their knackers off. They are either super fit, or never work as hard as other teams.

To be fair when you have McGinn who's class for Scotland and shite for us, an a goal scorer who don't score, what chance has he got.

There don't seem much discipline with Gerrard. They never come out second half firing.

He loves McGinn don't he. Played in the week looks knackered, you won't get anything from Mcginn now, why can we all see it but not the manager??

McGinn is obviously knackered from having his best games in a Scotland shirt.

Gerrard needs to learn as a manager to drop players on poor performances. This is the problem having ex players as managers, they see it through the players eyes, so are not very ruthless with them.

Was looking through the past fixtures, for anyone who rates Southgate, must have a screw lose. It seems anytime we come up against anyone half decent, we either draw or lose. That draw against Scotland in the Euros was particular poor from Southgate.. I Can't see us getting past any of the big boys. Again the team is good enough, it's just the tactics are poor.
