  1. We were already down a few weeks ago, today is another point, which given we had only 6 points before today, a big plus. if we can start not consistently not getting a beating then we might be able to conceivably start consistently getting positive results and get some confidence. Realistically an improvement from here is not be a total shambolic walkover every week for whoever we play, then perhaps after a few weeks of actually being competitive who knows, we might win a game.
  2. I thought it was deodorant? Stand up if you like right garde, feck off if you don't...
  3. Interesting comments regarding Gabby too. On the Zog, just how many chances did he want? Labert gave him a go, Sherwood gave him a go, Garde involved him from the off... How not arsed must that chubby waster be?
  4. Last nail in coffin time I think. We should already be planning for the phoenix from the flames act next season....
  5. Will Richards be back for this? If not, then maybe we could try... ----------------------- Guzan ----------------------- ---------- Okore --- Lescott --- Clark ---------- Hutton ----- Gana ------ Sanchez -- Bacuna ----------------- Gil ---- Grealish ----------------- ----------------------- Ayew ----------------------- ... we won't, but it would probably put less pressure on Bacuna, you could swap Grealish for Veretout as well. I'd definitely try and pack the middle of the park and stay compact and keep the ball. Longer it stays 0 - 0 the more edgy their crowd will get, if we can boss possession then we might have a chance of winning, especially if they look to go back to front quickly and just give it us back....
  6. If we don't win the "must win" games against direct opponents that are coming up, then we will struggle to reach 15 points this season IMO. Let alone avoid the drop. The fact that Lerner has managed to get us in this situation after so many warnings and when the huge jackpot of cash was just about to land next season is beyond ridiculous. The gulf between Premier and Championship will widen, and we will be on the wrong side of the gap.
  7. I don't think he is that bad a player with the ball at his feet but I've just seen Arsenal's second goal again and I was furious with him at the time and am more so now. It's not like he's let his man go for a goal, he's let TWO PLAYERS run straight past him into space he should have been bursting his lungs to be in himself. The little wave of his hand at the linesman when he's 30 yards behind the play and they have scored the easiest goal they will ever score is particularly hard to take. I'd really like to like the lad, but that is just so poor and the type of thing we unfortunately see every week.
  8. But, but, but, we're a massive club aren't we?!?! Lerner is reaping what he has sown the last 4 years. He can't have too many complaints surely and will now lose a ton of cash because he was too foolish to protect his initial investment by spending enough to keep us in the league.
  9. Cole looked completely disinterested with Roma, not entirely sure that would be a stroke of genius. Rather we spent money on a young left back with talent that will be good at Championship level to help us back up quickly
  10. 12! YAY UTV **puts down crack pipe** 4
  11. He's not awful, he's not amazing. I think he gets a bit too much credit for being our main attacking outlet when I really think teams let him have the ball whilst they shut down other options. His attitude is certainly an asset in our situation and if we had the same level of player at left back now amavi is out then we wouldn't have shipped 7 in 2 games.
  12. The bit in bold is genius if Kozak can regularly score in the Championship we'd go in to next season with two strikers proven in getting goals in that league, I'd add Gardner and Grealish to that then too, get them used to what next year will be like. Spend in Jan on players who will be good in the Championship too I'd say, maybe see if we can cherry pick from teams at the top of the Championship now, give them some Prem experience before we go down too.
  13. Does anyone think garde will stay on with us if we go down?
  14. No team has ever stayed up from our position.
  15. How long till a bookie looking for the publicity pays out on us going down? Lose the next two and someone might. Before Xmas. Shit.
  16. Totally, if you take out the completely mental suicidal mistakes then it would have been a different game. That different game is the one Garde prepared for. Not even a team of Jock Stein and Jesus could have saved us seeing as certain players were so dead set on committing hari kari. Watford however is a different kettle of fish entirely, away at Everton and home to Watford really should not be treated the same way at all, especially in our position. Very much shit or bust and I expect whilst he'll have been working on making sure there's not the same level of tragicomic defending, I'd also expect he's going to set us out to be attacking and not giving away so much possession and territory in order to be compact.
  17. For the first time I actually think we're down this time. We should be making preparations to get out of the championship as of now, the January window will need to reflect that. We should be sounding out Garde to see if he's up for the challenge of getting us back in to the premier league. Whilst 1.2/1.3 points a game *shouldn't* be beyond us I see no signs that it's actually acheivable. We look awful, and awfully ****.
  18. Just massive balls to go to a club in so much trouble and with a transfer embargo in place. Very interested to see how he goes and most of all what sort of football he sets them up to play.
  19. So true, just basic good organisation could have got us many more points this season already. That Sherwood wavy hand gif from the Leicester game for me speaks volumes, I very much doubt we'll see Garde demanding double training sessions for months to get his players fit, he'll use training for more than running I would think
  20. Love a redwine / bordelaise sauce. Perfect steak meal it makes. good steak needs no dressing up.
  21. If ever there was an example of correlation not implying causation then this is it :) Yes clearly the ketchup and not the fact he is a massively insane fascist dick head.
  22. Do we have any promising nippers comign through at left back? (Thanks Andy)
  23. Who looked massively disinterested in playing football the last I saw of him.
