  1. Jesus 15s is short for all of that to come in
  2. Come on the hammers, if they can win by a couple of clear goals then pressure is off against city. We can then just go out and give a go and see what happens...
  3. Big game for big Jhon on weds. Could clearing in the woods a thunderbastard and be a hero, could get a daft red... There's deffo something about him, I'd love to see what he does in training I bet he scores some mental goals.
  4. Speculation from other people more than anything he's actually said though. It's lazy journalism mostly, he's actually said that he rates Emery very highly so if Emery wants him I'd expect it to happen. The fee and conditions were agreed as part of the loan deal.
  5. Free hit for me, expecting a beating so anything other than that and I'll be happy. With everyone fit we can give anyone a game on our day but depleted in key positions is a tough ask. Not saying we can't but we'll need 9/10 performances from nearly everyone to get a point.
  6. Watkins and Konsa have consistently been amazing. Hard to look past those two but yeah Luiz, Martinez, Bailey, McGinn, Pau... Emery's got a tune out of pretty much everyone at some point. We've been great
  7. He's definitely our best defender and he's up there for our best player.
  8. Played a few through balls that were different class
  9. I think we should sign him, it clearly takes time for a player to understand what's expected of them in an Emery team, looks like he's starting to get it and find his feet. The talent is there and I really don't see how we could sign another player for the agreed price that has his potential and ability. He's already done a job for us on a number of occasions, who else could we sign that could be useful at CL level for £20m?
  10. Duran is getting a bit frustrated, he might do something daft soon...
  11. If the hatters get a result at their place I'd be very surprised, would be **** amazing though. Come on the hatters...
  12. hard to argue with the rest of the line up given who's missing.
  13. rogers starting again, he must be shit hot in training.
  14. Yeah from what he actually said he's got a good grip of his situation at the moment. He has also made key contributions to our season already, played out of position he held up our left side at the start of the season and did ok without being amazing. He's also scored a few important goals too. Compare with Bailey's first season, who was pretty much always played in his best position. Lots of people thought he would never make it with us. It's clearly not a walk in the park playing Emery's football, you have to understand and absorb a lot of details on where to be off the ball and patterns of play when you have it. He's got the talent, if Emery thinks he can flourish like Bailey has then we should keep being patient with him.
  15. Konsa and Stones as 2 of a back 3 would be really good. Who's the left footer to complete the 3 though?
  16. How **** embarrassing, the shape and tactics stifling some amazing players who despite that managed to save a draw. Chillwell and Madison not good enough for me. We do not play a shape to get the best out of Bellingham, Foden, Saka, Kane, Bowen, Grealish etc etc We should be building a team around Bellingham. We've got the players for a 3-2-4-1 not a 4-2-3-1.
  17. Next appointment is huge though, it needs to a Bruce to Smith, or a Gerrard to Emery type moment...
  18. Having read the offending article quickly with a cappachoochoo this morning and seeing on here the stuff they left out then it's a criminal bit of non journalism...
  19. I'll find a bar and read it...
  20. Totally, where I differ is I really think it does matter. This is the first group of English players whereby it's not just hype to say a few are world class. We've never ever in my (now long) lifetime had genuine world class players. We've had plenty of bullshit about how good our players have been in the past but this is the first time I can remember when someone in Italy, Spain or Germany would pick out some of our players as being the best in the position in the world or at least in Europe. We're not talking up Lampard and Gerrard when there's Xavi and Iniesta, or Beckham and Scholes when there's Zidane and Figo. This lot are the real thing and there's a reason Kane is at Bayern and Bellingham is a **** Real legend already. Foden gets into a side that contains some of the world's best talent, it isn't just hubris, most of the worlds top talent want the PL money and not only that. If they want to play against the best every week they have to play in England. You're totally right about where we lack, central defenders and a goalkeeper. Which is why it's even more absurd that we have a coach that looks to defend against the better teams. It's suicide.
  21. Give this generation of attacking talent to ANY decent manager (imagine Ancelotti, Guardiola, Emery, Klopp etc. etc.) and we would not be lining up 4-2-3-1 and struggling to make chances. It's such a **** waste.
  22. He's had something in Southgate for sure
  23. Ollie is going from a situation where he knows his role in the team inside out, he also knows where the other players around him are going to be in any given situation. He has had every detail meticulously worked through with him and his team mates by a world class coach. Then he finds himself in a situation where a tactically dated coach not at the same level as Emery chucks him into a system that was created for Kane, with other players new to this system playing too, and is expected to instantly score or be called a flop. Not easy. Needs games and time with the squad before he gets judged but the Great British Press aren't interested in any kind of nuance. They have to sell papers to people who believed the big red bus and all the bullshit about straight bananas
  24. Spalletti Is still trying to find a way to play and who to play it with, yesterday you could see they'd worked on getting started from the back but then they looked disjointed trying to get the ball through midfield and make chances. Looks like Zaniolo will feature though, if he has a good Euros he'll be worth a lot more than the fee we've agreed with Galatasaray.
