I'm not a big fan of Kozak, but he needs to get a chance too. I think it's fair to say that Gestede hasn't been so impressive he should be a guaranteed starter.

I've completely fallen for this guy already, boy does he make a difference. Still, I also think he's not ready to start yet and is best used as a sub later in matches when a full back is getting tired. Think about a situation where a full back hasn't had a great game, is getting mentally and physically tired, and has to face this guy. He's gonna wet his pants. If a full Villa Park gets excited and loud when Adama gets in, all the better.

Had a pretty poor game overall today. I think Guzan was at fault for the goal since he made the decision to roll the ball instead of taking his time and letting us settle down. So, I won't be too hard on Amavi for the goal. I hope he gets over it and doesn't become another insecure Villa defender.

Guzan and Amavi took all excitement out of Adama's great debut. ****** ******* ****. I'm so fuming. How can you be so dumb Guzan, why did you not calm down the game? So unnecessary. Thanks for the comments Benireduk. Adama sounds just like his YouTube videos, and his age, suggest: explosive, fun to watch, game-changer, and still somewhat volatile in performance. Amazing, hope he plays on Saturday.

I'm usually quite optimistic, and get (overly) excited about our players. I can't explain really why I'm a bit down on both of them. Maybe it's because we didn't get a prolific goalscorer, who would've eased the pressure from Gil/Grealish. If Gestede is our main striker, Gil, Grealish and Adama really have to come good.

Really? It's not as though the burden is completely on him. There's Grealish and Traore too. Not to mention the others such as Sinclair, Ayew, Gestede (carefully not mentioning Gabby!). We've more options than at least half of the league. I know it's just two matches, but I think we're lacking in creating enough. I'm very happy we got Adama, but feel like we need something more, quality not numbers. If we score three against Palace, I'll be quietly happy.
