  1. Theres no gap after we play wigan? We play blackburn the following Saturday...
  2. McLeish and the team have 4 games to show us what their intentions are for this season. 4 games, in which to decide what league we will be playing in next season. Whether we are actually shit, or just mislead will show from these fixtures. It really is time just wait and see now as this thread is just going round and round in nearly 500 circles. I cannot wait until we next play. Hate having gaps!
  3. The only way relegation would be good would be if we 'did a Newcastle' and come back up stronger. It's like they remembered who they are, and what a club like Newcastle should be doing. If we got relegated I think we should get rid of the actual deadwood, and then keep every **** in our current favourite 11 and make them get us back to where we belong. And then get rid, replacing with obvious quality. Players like Demba Ba for example. I don't think we are that poor in a way that if we get relegated we would have to immediately sell everyone. However, I'm not convinced McLeish has the minerals to be able to do that. But still, having said this, relegation would be a **** disaster and would make me depressed for a year or so.
  4. We need to get to 35 points by the time we have played our 32nd game. Basically we need to keep at having more points then games played I feel. If not, it could well be Huddersfield (should they get promoted) away next season.
  5. Umbro - errrr... rainbow trout
  6. Well that's what I would have thought, but I've spoke to a handful of people who do and I'm sure there's some on here. As I say, I don't get it. :| He's doing a thorough job of failing himself. He doesnt need to have the wishes of others in order to screw things up. With the players now seemingly falling out with him in the dressing room, things could only get worse. I fear we may have another case of 'let's put things to one side and focus on staying up' extravaganza.
  7. Indeed - I am happy when we win, no question. But I will not celebrate it and start to change my opinion of McLeish or some of the players - the only thing I am thinking is, 'thank **** for that'. At the moment, I am counting down the games so that I can see us safe, I'm not looking at when we are going to win as I know no matter who we are playing, it's going to be struggle. Up the villa and all that, but I'm worried.
  8. It must get tiring knowing everything and being right all the time. It must be tiring defending McLeish all the time when you know you're running out of options. There's a difference between defending McLeish and having a balanced, reasonable view on him. Does every last little thing he does annoy you? Do you honestly believe he is the worst possible person to be in charge? I'm not his biggest fan either. I'll criticise him if we lose, but then I'll give him credit if he pulls a win out the bag. Surely that's only fair? I don't just say, 'It was a fluke, he'll lose the next game'. Then if he does indeed lose the next game (everytime so far, I know...) I won't say 'told ya' so', because I think that attitude stinks and also gets a bit predictable and boring. We're not getting many wins at all at the moment, we all know that. So don't slag people off for enjoying them and being positive whenever we do. It really isn't 'outrageous', it's actually quite normal. It really is not normal - wins should not be regarded as a frigging treat for the fans when they eventually do happen. We get the bullshit articles about so and so turning the corner, or so and so promising more goals, consistency etc etc.... It's a load of bollox. Winning should be standard for Aston Villa, not a relief for the week before we go and lose again
  9. I'm pretty sure G C is = Ginger see you next tuesday. Unless you were pretending you didn't know
  10. So, is he going to play against city do we recon?
  11. I disagree. Him coming out and saying that will trigger said conversations and they will have it out. I say well done Charles!
  12. I dont want Randy to leave but he needs to act now. The playing staff are losing it and its only going to get worse. He needs to act now and bring someone in who is going to bring some bloody passion to the team, someone who knows how to set teams up for a win every week without it being a **** surprise when we do eventually win before it is too late. Summer could be an actual disaster. 6 wins in 24, coupled with two shit cup runs - sort it out, or lose the fans completely.
  13. The way I see it, (and I mentioned this in today's match thread), we need to get to 32 games having reached 35 points. We can then use the last 6 games to add to that and try and finish as high as possible. If we fail to get 7 points from the next 8, we are in deep shit. I can't see the bottom 3 reaching 30 points in that time, so I think we are safe anyway, but, you never know.
  14. Rafa Benitez - problem solved. Proably more expensive in terms of his salary, but, problem solved.
  15. How many points did we have this time last season vs Bham??
  16. Playing decent at the mo. Let's hope we can take this into the second half like we did the other day. The way i see this season going, we have 8 games to get to 35 points (6 points to go the way things stand), and then we can use the last 6 games to try and get some additional points. I don't think that should be to difficult, but we have some tough battles coming up. At the moment, I can't really see the bottom 3 getting to 30 points too soon, for that reason I think we will definitely be safe. (when you think of it like that, it seems really easy, but, I don't want to jinx it) Does anyone know how many points Bham had this time last season, and ourselves?
  17. Let's go for something a little like this - I used my music skills to come up with these lyrics.... Shisha Boy loves the Holte Watch him pass it, watch him go Watch him crank dat Shisha Pipe Then Superman dat Holte Now watch him move (crank dat Shisha pipe) Now watch him move (crank dat Shisha Pipe) Shisha Boy loves the Holte Watch him shoot it, watch him score Watch him shift it into feet, Then Superman dat Holte Now watch him move (crank dat Shisha pipe)... Etc etc,.....
  18. **** it, I'm gonna get slated here - but Salifou did sweet **** all either... Please don't ban me from the site.... Annnnd Tumbleweed.....
  19. What about Routledge? Pretty sure we signed him - never saw him play, sold him, went missing for a while, then got a goal against us for Swansea? That's pretty crap if you ask me...
  20. Anyone up for scrabble? More exciting than this shit. I wish every fan would just walk out in protest - maybe then will we be heard. No club will like football without fans...

Hell, no. If I feel shit, I stay at home, simple as. Guilty? **** that. Ive never wasted a good sick day on an actual illness. Sick days are for hangovers and extra holidays. If im gonna be ill, i may as well be ill at work. Not these days though, no work no money. I get what you all mean - it's the most weird thing calling in saying your sick - iv had one day of since starting my new job in 2010. I even feel guilty when I'm on holiday!! But that's because I get messages from colleagues asking for help on a couple of things, so I just think sod it and end up going in to the office! (obviously not possible if I'm abroard) Haha...... Geek
  22. Hey all, just wondering if anybody here works in Wlefare to Work and is interested in any other opportunities within the sector?!
