Hi General Can you confirm something for us - Do we really need to keep selling in order for Mcleish to buy his own players in?? We knew Young was going - but is potentially selling Downing absolutely necessary if Alex Mcelish wants to spend some money?? Wouldn't you agree that when we had Milner, Young and Downing we Could have had the best midfield in the prem - if we had kept them together?? Just to have two of them back would be brilliant. Not very happy at the moment to be honest :/ - this summer window could be quite depressing for us fans. Tayls.

Love how it's mostly people with low post counts calling for Lerner to leave - have you only just stared supporting Villa or something? Or are you noses in disguise? I say supporting... Evening General, First things first - do not leave. You guys are brilliant. Randy is awesome. Done loads for Villa, and despite what some are saying, loves the fans and the club. Secondly, I don't think to many fans are happy about the potential signing of Mcleish as manager. I said in the main manager thread that I am willing to give him a chance. If he becomes Aston Villa, he gets my support. It's that simple. Third, if Mcleish is appointed - You guys have to back him in this window. We are losing Young, who can he bring in to replace that quality? A fan favourite and one of our very best players! We cannot surely entertain bringing in an average player to take his place... Can Mcleish bring in the quality that we need... We will leave that to you guys to decide. Fourth, the youth players seemed to like Hoillier - will Mcleish have the same impact? Call me ignorant but, can anybody name a player that came through the youth system at Birmingham over the last few years? I'm not just saying that, it is a genuine question to anyone? Finally - do what you need to do. Some fans will hate this decision if it does come to fruitition but if the above and more are addressed and we get of to a good start - everyone will be happy. If we lose 6-0 2nd game of the season, expect a major fan backlash. As always, UTV!!!!!!!

I want it to be Moyes, I really do. I just don't think it will be unfortunately. There is evidence to suggest he might be a possibility, but on the flip side there is evidence against. I havnt seen anything from a so called ITK to suggest it might be on... Has anyone got any quotes? It's mostly been negative which has lead me to think Mr Lerners thoughts might be elsewhere, maybe somewhere closer to home? I dunno...

Hiii General Quick question really (not 100% sure this post is allowed) - how come the Ashley Young situation is already in motion even though we do not have a manager in place - is it not possible to put this on hold because the new man we bring in could be someone that Ashley may want to play under and continue to progress with Villa? It makes me a little uneasy that we are doing things to the squad without the manager in place. Couldn't this have an effect on potential targets? (managers)

I think it's imperative that we take Moyes. That is the only way forward that I can see right now after the circus so far. Very narrow minded I know, but... I think it has to be him.
