    As wonderful as this result is…. I’m actually probably more furious by our result last week now than I was last Sunday… what the hell.

    I was prescribed Sertraline very recently as I have been struggling for a few months with health anxiety. I’ve had it many years but never taken anything to try and manage it. However, I feel as though I have been ill since December, keep getting colds and sore throats. Anyway, I got so fed up that I decided to go the doctors to have a general check over and request some blood tests. Also described how it has been making me feel, impacting on my work, and how December is a pretty sad time now since my mother died over Christmas 2022. Blood tests have come back clear which is good news. But now I am left with the decision on whether or not I start on the anti-depressants. I have no idea what to do.

    Francisco Conceicao who’s playing for Porto on loan from Ajax looks a player. Plus I enjoy saying Conceicao. Makes sense to sign him.

    The issue is what has been created by the men’s game. That the top clubs there are the ones that everyone wants to play for in the womens game as well, which is rediculous. It should never have got that. So until that level of thinking changes football in both the men’s and women’s games will be forever broken. It’s not fair.

    Life is what you make it. Same sort of thing applies to the future of Aston Villa. We have people who want to achieve great things, we are still in the fairly early stages of a process. We clearly are far from perfect, but I don’t have any doubt that we will see continuous improvement for the next few years at least.

    It’s a yellow at most. Reckless maybe, it’s late, it’s not a red. Admittedly I haven’t seen the full context of play leading up to it.

    Just seen the replay. Why is that spurs player putting his leg in the way of where John is running? Should be a free kick to us in my view!

    We continue playing for 4th. If we are to be disappointed (which let’s face it we usually are) then we’ll finish 5th. Fine. I stick by my prediction of 69 points.

    Let’s not forget as well that Tim was playing for QPR recently and Rogers was with Middlesborough two months ago. Now they are playing for us in Europe against a pretty big side in Ajax. Big moment for them to be involved.

    We’re granny shifting… we’ll just glide through the gears as and when we need.

    So we have basically been in 1st gear this half, I haven’t been convinced that Ajax will score and we are playing an intentionally weakened side so we can rest some players. Pretty happy with how it has gone. Would like a bit more effort to see if we can nick a win in the second, but not that fussed if it stays like this.

    Think we have changed too many players here to really show what we can do. If we can get a draw then that will be a decent result heading to VP.

    We haven’t picked up a point from any of the sky sides have we? Except spurs… I still find it incredible that the top 6 is exactly how the media want the men’s to be. I mean, Liverpool were promoted last season, how is it that they have become one of the better sides in the league? I think the women’s game is broken already to be honest. We also look horrendously bad.
