  1. Bit premature don't you think? I mean, Vlaar got injured last season in late November if I'm not mistaken. We coped ok without him for a few games and then the wheels came off for some reason. Man Utd are smarting from being beaten twice in a row and being 9th in the table. They've got nothing better to do than thrash the team just below them in the table to make themselves feel good again. If we don't get thrashed then I'd conclude the defence has improved and this won't happen again. I'd be tempted with this line up. Lowton, Clark, Herd, Baker, Luna - Bacuna, El Ahmadi, Delph - Kozak, Agbonlahor The most resilient line up we have available. Kozak - used to be a CB before he turned striker, so he will be better defending set pieces than Benteke. Agbonlahor - plays at home for this one because against Man Utd we'll need his counter-attack. When we attack, Bacuna and Delph can cover LB, RB positions when Lowton and Luna push forward. Herd - man-marks Rooney or Van Persie, whichever is considered easier. Delphs suspended due to 5 yellow cards. I would consider putting Herd int CM. I thought he was okay when he had his stint in the team there. United's central midfield is pretty weak physically if Fellaini is still out. I imagine if someone is set up to mark Cleverley and rough him up it would essentially take him out of the game (not that he does a lot anyway) I think Herd could do a good job at putting himself about and just being a nuisance to their players, I think he's got decent defensive qualities but we can all see that he's just not a CB. Sylla would normally be the first choice for this kind of role but he really hasn't got me convinced with his performances so far this season.
  2. Some reports say the fan died, some say he didn't. But upon seeing the video I would be very surprised if he came out of that okay. At least 3 in a critical condition is what most sites are reporting.
  3. Anyone see the fan riots that happened in a brazilian game tonight? No policing inside the stadium so all hell broke lose, think the fan in the video below even died. A military helicopter had to be called in and police with guns had to go into the stands to break up the fighting. Somehow they've just decided to re-start the game. Doesn't look good for the World Cup. A video of it happening, the tv camera's continued to record (graphic) Another, less graphic news report of the situation.
  4. Time to burn the disc I'm afraid.... I've got the digital download version. Looks like the laptops gonna have to go..
  5. For some reason my game has now started referring to Villa Park as St Andrews instead. This I am not happy with.
  6. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/10500208/Kevin-de-Bruyne-keen-to-leave-Chelsea-in-January.html Kevin de Bruyne hopes to be given the green light to quit Chelsea next week. The agent of De Bruyne is due to speak to the Blues about a January move away from Stamford Bridge. German club Wolfsburg want to sign De Bruyne permanently, while Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid are interested in taking the Belgian on loan. De Bruyne is thought to favour a permanent switch to Wolfsburg. He is concerned he will not be given enough playing time at Atletico, who have already spoken to the 22-year-old's agent. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has tried to assure De Bruyne he will be offered more first-team opportunities over the coming weeks and months. But the midfielder fears he will not be given enough action at Chelsea to be sure of a World Cup place. And De Bruyne's club and international team-mate Eden Hazard has advised him to leave Stamford Bridge to protect his Belgium spot. Chelsea signed De Bruyne almost two years ago and he has since spent loan spells at former club Genk and Werder Bremen. De Bruyne has not played in the Premier League for Chelsea since a five-minute substitute appearance against Fulham in September and was criticised by Mourinho for his display against Swindon in the Capital One Cup. Says he'd favour a switch to Wolfsburg. Lambert could at least try tempt him to come here on loan, the fact he would get to stay in England and the Premier League might be a decent reason to consider us for a loan deal?
  7. Noticed on one if his Instagram pictures that he commented saying he'll be back in 4 weeks
  8. Callum Robinson ‏@CallumRobinson742m Just come out the shower !! Getting ready then heading to the training ground for pre match meal Sounds like he might be in the squad for tonight
  9. Are you sure? I'd be really surprised if it has deleted your saved game, your profile is often reset when a new version is released (as happened yesterday I believe) but your savegame should still be in the users area in the Sports Interactive folder. Upon creating a new profile and deleting my Cache and scrolling through all the auto saves i've managed to load one up, so not all is lost, but a chunk of it is
  10. The game crashed whilst saving and has deleted everything. Deleted the entire save and even my profile on the game. Had just got Villa into europe.
  11. Is it just me who gets a ridiculous amount of injuries? It's literally almost 1 a game.
  12. On a good run, signed some decent players in January, came from behind to beat Arsenal and get in the League cup final. Saved game, game crashed whilst saving. Now gonna have to replay about 6 matches and do it all over again.
  13. Not sure if this is a bug or it's supposed to be like this. This guy was co-owned by Udinese and Juventus, I bought out Udinese's half for £10million, but it wouldn't let me accept to buy Juventus' half (this is why I couldn't proceed the first time and had to start again). So i signed him, unveiled him and he was in my squad but it said he was now a free agent, so I offered him a contract again as a free agent (this time we demanded lower wages for some reason) and now I've re-signed him, despite only actually having him for about 2 days.
  14. Was a bug in the game that wouldn't let me progress. Had to go back to my last save point which was a month back to July 31st. Means I have to re-do the majority of my transfer dealings.
  15. Surprised Agbonlahor came off for Tonev, he was looking much more of a threat than Weimann. Really not a good game for him today, should probably be dropped for Everton.
  16. What tactic are you using? You seem to be doing well. I can never dominate a game like that. I normally go 4 2(dm) 2 2, counter attack against the big teams but in my save Arsenal aren't doing great and I was at home so I went full on attack. I tend to change tactics alot depending on who's injured etc, I think that was actually the first time I used that tactic with 2 wingers because it's the first time i've had decent one's available. I think some luck was involved in that result, I always do well against the big teams but flop against the likes of Crystal Palace. For that game I think I played very fluid with shouts like retain possession, short passing, run at defence, work ball into box. Got the wingers set to dribble often and for players to generally play more direct.
  17. The FA ‏@FA1h With Fabian Delph and Gabriel Agbonlahor also in fine form it could be a match to savour for England manager Roy Hodgson At least someone at the FA has acknowledged they're playing well
  18. This what I like to see. Re-called Grealish from loan in January as Honda got injured. Scores 2 on his first start.
  19. My 2 worst players so far this season are Benteke and Guzan. My best is John Pantsil. This game must be broke.
  20. Is it just me being let down by the keepers? Guzan is doing awfully, I've lost a few games because of him and Steer is no better when I put him in instead.
  21. My wingers are doing alright, albrighton had 9 goals before i sold him because he wouldnt sign a new deal.. Im not playing with wingers. Agbonlahor is woeful out there, Tonev is nothing special and loaned out Albrighton. Got Pablo Hernandez in on loan but he doesn't play much because other wing options are poor. Playing with 2 up front because our strikers are actually decent, seems a shame to only play 1 and have so many good players sitting out. Can't find a consistent pairing yet though, they seem to hit form for a few games then disappear.
  22. I started off the season amazingly but as always seems to happen to me in FM I go from beating Arsenal, City and Chelsea to suddenly losing against Hull and now i'm on a 4 game losing streak. I'm no where near relegation but it is frustrating how my players and tactics that are working always seem to turn shit overnight and it become very difficult to win again.
  23. Bacuna? Out on loan. Had to get John Pantsil in on a free, would only sign a 3 year contract (he's 32) and wanted all these extra fee's and clauses but I had no choice. Good thing he's an absolute boss haha, he's keeping Lowton out of the team now that he's back from injury.
  24. I lost Matt Lowton and Josh Webb in the same game leaving me with no RB's. I now have 3 premiership games in 6 days and because of injuries and loans I have no players beyond my starting 11 and subs bence. How am I supposed to manage this? Edit: Westwood got sent off in the first of these games, leaving me with an impossible challenge
