My opinion is that most of the major manufacturers will produce a smartwatch. They might not sell in the same volumes as smartphones, but they will sell. One form factor does not fit all. Not everyone uses their device in the same way that you do. Many of my friends already feel that smartphones are too big; they are the people that the "minis" are targeted at. It's already the case that a range of screen sizes are good. The smartphone fills the "smallest screen" end of that range with the added benefits (for some) of being wearable rather than "carryable". If you guys think they aren't for you then don't buy one. Your choice of device does not mean that a particular device won't be bought by anyone else. I'd never buy a windows phone, but some people said they'd be the (most attractive and) best possible device and asked why anyone would buy anything else.

I thought you stopped following the Verge. Why do I care how big the watch screen is when I'll have Glass?

The Omate is not an "extension". It's a smart phone in its own right.

Hmmm, the latest version of the app was supposed to be for ios7 fixes. I hate Apple.

The Omate is a speakerphone and has bluetooth. I can't speak for others. I suspect less than 5% of my time interacting with my phone is related to calls. ... and Glass has speakers and mics.

Yep. Although I suspect I'll be carrying a phone and wearing the watch. This might change with Glass; if the screen is adequate I might scrap the phone. Glass + smartwatch will give you what CED asks for above, but without having to hold your wrist like that.

It's an alternative. A choice if you will. It's new and shiny. The Omate will be me second generation of Smartwatch and Apple haven't even invented them yet.

The developers of the app currently have their website down. Unfortunately all I can do is report it to them when their site is back up. Can you go back to the previous version?

Yes, you put it in "site issues". The forum for the app is called "VillaTalk app - tapatalk" The app is not related to the site. It's no biggy, it's just easier if all threads about the app are in one place. You still haven't told me what phone and OS you are using. I'm wondering if this might be an iOS7 problem. It might just be your phone at this point. I need information to diagnose the problem.

With the omate you don't need a phone as will. It's a phone in its own right. There's little point in explaining though. You've said elsewhere the you'll be getting an iPhone 6 when you have no idea of what it'll be. You'll probably get the idea once apple invent iwatches.
