Can you still get t-mobile SIMs?
  3. According to Apple it is possible to install previous versions of apps. For those having issues you may want to try this until Tapatalk produce a new version.

Exactly the same way every user of GiffGaff is. You get an affiliate code and tell it to people. I'm guessing you didn't spend much time on the community side of the "community network" This is the way they grow. I've also had two data outages on Three in the last two months.

If that was to me, I was explaining that today's outage is O2's fault and is affecting a number of their customers. It's not just an GG problem. Tesco monile and any other resellers will also be affected.

http://status.o2.co.uk/ is still reporting the fault and has been since 10:45. They've not even bothered to update it since 20:00.

Lots of people on O2 are affected today, so that's hardly GG's fault. It happens. I'd probably stay if I had any confidence they'd actually done something to fix the issues permanently.
  9. The coding of the app is nothing to do with me. I just apply the VillaTalk branding and have to deal with the knobs who are Apple, or the even bigger knobs who are Amazon (although I'm not sure there are any users of that).. I can't fix issues. I didn't write it. The app is made by Tapatalk and works with a large variety of forum software.

Another outage today, this time it appears to have been O2's fault, but I've requested my PAC. Three outages in 6 days without proper explanation is not good enough. My goodybag renewed overnight (typical), so I've got a month to decide where I'm moving to. I think it'll be Three for the "no additional charge" LTE. Anyone looking at other options?
  11. We have a forum for each match which is very easy to navigate to. We used to have a forum full if topics summarising the away game information. Contributions were so sparse that it was closed. If you are going to use user submitted into, you'll need to moderate it.
  12. Are you planning to act as editors for the information, or will it be user supplied? How will it be funded? And obviously, what does it do that the VillaTalk app doesn't?
  13. I've ordered a Virgin SIM. I'm going to compare the coverage to Three and decide which to move my main number to. This is the second giffgaff outage in 6 days and with no technical explanation I have no belief that they'll fix it permanently. but this is OT in this thread.

    Smart Watches

My watch is a watch which allows me to control the music player on my phone. It vibrates when I have a call, text, email or hangout. It has an open API and can run 3rd party apps. (It's also waterproof and the battery lasts about 10 days.) So what you are hoping will be available in the future if Google allow has been available for over a year.

I've had a watch for over a year that can do all that (except for the glass thing). It's made by a tiny start up (in fact a kickstarter). I don't see what any of this has to do with Google.

How big is 2% to 10% of the smartphone market? Regardless, I think they'd be happy with that. There is no huge R&D cost here, it's only repackaging. I think 10% of smartphone sales will be at the top of their most optimistic projections. That's still a huge market. The R&D is paid for. This is finding a new channel to exploit the already developed technology. No-one is proposing that smartwatches will take over from smartphones. I think that the wearable market is much larger than you do and that you continue to conflate how you use things with how everyone uses things. Kids seem like a particularly attractive market for smartwatches.

My opinion is that most of the major manufacturers will produce a smartwatch. They might not sell in the same volumes as smartphones, but they will sell. One form factor does not fit all. Not everyone uses their device in the same way that you do. Many of my friends already feel that smartphones are too big; they are the people that the "minis" are targeted at. It's already the case that a range of screen sizes are good. The smartphone fills the "smallest screen" end of that range with the added benefits (for some) of being wearable rather than "carryable". If you guys think they aren't for you then don't buy one. Your choice of device does not mean that a particular device won't be bought by anyone else. I'd never buy a windows phone, but some people said they'd be the (most attractive and) best possible device and asked why anyone would buy anything else.

I thought you stopped following the Verge. Why do I care how big the watch screen is when I'll have Glass?

The Omate is not an "extension". It's a smart phone in its own right.
  20. Hmmm, the latest version of the app was supposed to be for ios7 fixes. I hate Apple.
  21. I could do with someone who hasn't upgraded to iOS7 to confirm if they are seeing this. It might give the devs something to go on.
