Given all the leaks that's pretty much what our new crest will be. 

I expect this will be a (relatively) quiet summer throughout the league. Points reductions have focussed minds and the record spending days are gone. Also see how many big money signings just haven't provided value. If the changes to a spending cap being voted for on Monday go through then we'll see another lift in prices when that kicks in IMO.

I don't remember anybody protesting Xia in his first season when he was spending money left, right and center. I think you making this up.

We're not talking about highly educated people here. Most of these players are millionaires by the time they're twenty, and while they earn enough to do exactly as you say, they not only have a target on their back from conmen, but also have the envy of being in a dressing room with people even richer. I think the latter is a big part of why our players heads used to get turned so much when they got called up to England, you think you're the big shot at Villa dressing room on 40-50k a week and then go and sit next to Beckham and co in the England dressing room.

Newcastle fans didn't exactly love Ashley either from what I remember.

Those are numbers without context though. We had a lot fans silently protesting ownership of the club too.
