islingtonclaret
They seem to have missed out the whole story of finding the cabinet maker that is a direct decendant. Surely that would have been pretty interesting? Think Channel 4 have majorly rushed it...
Troglodyte Posted February 4, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted February 4, 2013 I've been interested in the story but agree that the documentary isn't great.

islingtonclaret
They found trevor jordache under a patio i didn't see channel 4 making a documentary about him... 2 schoolboy errors with this statement 1. He wasn't a lost King of England, the last to die in battle 2. He's not actually real. If I remember correctly, watching the washing machine was actually better than that scouse crap, no? tonyh29
Great news that Richard III's skeleton has been identified and reassembled. I love it when a Plantagenet comes together.
Awol
Great news that Richard III's skeleton has been identified and reassembled.I love it when a Plantagenet comes together.Far too witty to be yours Tony, but still, very good.Apparently the next big one for the army of under grad diggers is Alfred the Great, buried somewhere in Winchester. That really would be a find, the man who made England.
islingtonclaret
Just seen the article in the Evening Standard about historians bringing up the touchy subject of where he should be buried. Some went with Westminster Abbey, obviously. I have no problem with this Some went with York Minster. I have no problem with this Some went with the original plan for Leicester Cathedral. Not ideal, but practical. One suggested his birthplace in Northumberland, which makes sense. And (Tudor scholar) David Starkey said they should pretty much throw him back in the hole and concrete it over. What is David Starkey such a **** arsehole about everything, all of the time?
