One thing we know, from with Gareth Barry and Milner, Villa are more than happy to play hardball over player values. Why has a happy player who got player of the season for the club.Then on the Villa site had a conversation with fans saying he loves the club and cant wait to sign a new contract..All of a sudden decided he wants to leave to play for a club on a similar standing to us? N'Zogbia is arguably as good as Downing and is also younger, whilst at the same time were getting and England international GK. Losing good player, getting 2 good players in. I dont know how that couldnt be percieved as improving. He shouldnt be selling Downing.. He needs to find out why he wants out.. According to you yesterday it was because Houllier left. Whats changed? Or was that just you making stuff up again?? Downing is wanted by a bigger club who can pay him more money. Thats why he wants to leave. Wake the **** up. Errrr...how about the thought that Downing has been tapped indirectly through his agent, and also the fact that he might just want to play for a better team with better calibre players.
