penguin
Stuck a couple of quid on a knockout, Eubank going to have to go for it and Saunders is landing some nice counter shots.

OutByEaster? Posted November 30, 2014 Moderator Share Posted November 30, 2014 I don't think Eubank will pull this off - he looks good in the second half of the rounds, but he's not able to keep the pressure on. It's turned into a pretty good fight.
The_Rev
6-5 to BJS on my card going into the 12th. I suspect the judges have it wider in BJS favour.
AshVilla
Wow what a granite chin BJS has If only all boxing fights were like that lol no **** around two blokes going hammer and tongs at each other Brilliant to watch
OutByEaster? Posted November 30, 2014 Moderator Share Posted November 30, 2014 I think it's a reasonable contest, Eubank rocked him a few times, but the points from the early rounds should see BJS through. I think the thing we've learned is that they're both decent and neither world class - you can see them doing this one again.
The_Rev
I've got that a draw. The judges will give it to Saunders and Eubank will kick himself for throwing it away in the first half of the fight.
OutByEaster? Posted November 30, 2014 Moderator Share Posted November 30, 2014 Eubank spent the first five rounds learning what it was like to box someone decent - if he'd been brought through with better fighters he'd have won that in my opinion.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
I don't think Eubank Jr is much of a boxer at all. Plenty of attributes but a brain isn't one of them.
The_Rev
Dunno if I can be arsed to stay up for Fury - Chisora 2. Fury won the first fight so easily that this one isn't that interesting.

I think your doing him a disservice at this stage. He is still relatively inexperienced certainly against class opposition. Tonight was a step up for him and the longer the fight went on the better he got which perhaps shows he does have a brain and is a quick leaner. For me tonight won't have done him any harm and will have been a good learning curve for him all be it at the expense of a harsh lesson.

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
I think your doing him a disservice at this stage. Probably. Admittedly, I hate cocky pricks, and he's a cocky prick, so I hope his career is terrible. I don't get the whole Billy big bollocks thing that boxers feel the need to be. penguin
Agree about the cocky prick bollocks. Rightly or wrongly I always feel they are just trying to imitate Ali, same way whenever I see sprinters doing poses when the camera pans past I just think Bolt wannabes. The_Rev
Predictable. Tyson Fury has shared 22 rounds of boxing with Dereck Chisora and in my opinion he has won all 22.
sheepyvillian
Truly gutted Eubank got beat . My son called it right , but Eubank will benefit more from defeat , than Saunders will from victory . If he'd of had just a tad more urgency to his work , he may well of ended the victor . Some of them uppercuts were a thing of beauty . He'll come back bigger , and better .

The_Rev
Cocky pricks who can back up their words make the game more interesting. It's why everyone loved Cloughie, it's why I love Mourinho.
