Not sure if it was down to how British commentators pronounced Ruud Gullit, but when I was young i thought there was two players called Rudd Gulit and Rud Hulit 🤣

As a by the way Alcester is pronounced ALSTER, not AL-SES-TER and people who live there get really bloody annoyed when outsiders tell them confidently it should be the latter.

As an American, you're excused on that sort of thing. After all, we mispronounce plenty of American place names. For example, I've been told we should be saying 'Los Angeliss', rather than 'Los Angeleez'.

You could just say LA like 95% of Americans
