  1. Is it me or has O2 removed all pricing for the Nexus 4 from their website.
  2. Looking at some of the contract prices for the Nexus 4 are just bloody ridiculous. O2 on twitter were trying to justify the ridiculous prices and got flamed for it. Giffgaff are great and have 2 handsets on them at the moment but when my O2 contract runs out I might go for this on Three Essential Internet Sim 200 12 month Contract 200 minutes 5000 texts 500MB data £6.90 a month You can phone up and add all you can eat data for an extra £3.00 a month. Best bit is if you go through Topcashback you can get back £42.92 So this brings your monthly bill down to £6.33 a month
  3. So Apple have been granted a patent for navigating map software on touch screen using your finger. They applied for the patent just before Google Maps hit the 3GS. So A. it wasnt even their map software the patent applied to B. Some TomTom devices had exactly the same method of use way before Apple applied for the patent. So presumably if they go after Android / Google they will also have to go after TomTom. The same TomTom who they are collaborating with on their own version of maps.
  4. I bet there is an awful lot of worried execs over at Cupertino after Googles announcements today.
  5. Google have announced updates to play store to allow us to buy movies and music. Get this though the music match service that you pay Apple or Amazon an annual fee for will be free in Google music.

    Relegation

Sadly I will be amazed if we dont go down. Our midfield is terrible and if by some miracle we do get 2 good quality midfielders in they will have to gel quickly for to stand any sort of chance.
  7. So CPW have the Nexus 4 at £389. It was going on sale Tuesday but since Google cancelled the presser because of the hurricane I wonder if they will still be allowed to.
  8. You know you can set Google Music to copy music from your itunes folder to the google cloud.
  9. Also I would bet a large chunk of businesses are still running XP let alone Vista or Seven. You explain to the owner of a small company that he needs to spend money on upgrading the OS to Win8 and he is going to want to know what benefit he will get?
  10. Well most companies apart from office probably have some bespoke software for their particular line of business and not much else. I really cannot see them spending money on apps for their employees. Employees might spend a quid or two but surely on their own accounts not on stuff for work. So who is going to buy these apps? We have 3 ipads here for the sales team and they dont have any paid apps on there. They are primarily used for email and web browsing - thats it.
  11. Office on the tablet will not include Outlook as it wont work with the way the tablet hibernates apparently.
  12. Rev it works fine, its just not as easy as using a netbook. So Apple are being forced to justify the price already, how times change.
  13. Don't whatever you do waste your money on a cheap tablet. I know from experience. As others have said if you want to play a few games, and watch videos and browse the net then a tablet pc is ideal. For word processing you really need a laptop or net book.
  14. I must admit that I am quite amazed by your comment. How does it look stunning? is it just the form factor? On every level the ipad mini screams that its been built to a price point. Lower res screen, 2 year old cpu, lack of memory. Apple need to decide going forward if they are going to make this a cheap ipad or the best ipad mini the can. Apple have seen their market share in the tablet market been sliced down to just over 50% since 2011 and was forced to bring out something cheaper. In America the ipad mini is only 30 dollars more than an ipod touch. Of course this will sell and at this spec I doubt there will be many ipad users trading in their ipad 2's or 3s for one but some will.
  15. I do think designed to a price point rather than make the best Ipad mini they could.
  16. So ipad mini released. Spec is hardly cutting edge but no doubt will sell loads. Cheapest model is £269.00 compared to £159.00 for Nexus 7. It will be interesting to see what Google announces next week. I do wonder which sales will suffer more on the Ipad mini release, and android tablets or full size ipads.
  17. T3 reporting that 4.2 will be Key Lime Pie and will be announced next week along with Nexus 4 and 10 inch Nexus Tablet. Anybody not buying the new Nexus because its made by LG
  18. The Campaign was laugh out loud funny.
  19. So 4 months for the S3 to get JB, wonder how long till it gets 4.2 which could be announced in just over a weeks time. Another vote for Nexus only in future especially if the rumours of multiple handsets is true.
  20. If that ran Vanilla Android Id buy that..........

    GiffGaff

Three have a 1 month rolling contract with unlimited data for £12.90 a month. The so yes its 90p a month more but if you sign up through top cash back you can get £25.25 back.
  22. looks good. What ever happened to Sharp Mobile Phones
  23. Updated Nexus 7. Nothing on the Google Nexus
  24. The rumour I read last night was the 32gb Nexus would retail at the same price the 16gb currently does, the 16gb moves down to the 8gb price point and possibly the 8gb moves down to a $99.00 price point. Since they arent giving away the £15.00 worth of Play credit you can sort of see this happening. Anybody with a Nexus 7 had the new update as its supposed to release the Nexus for Landscape mode too. I havent had it as yet.
