  1. A manager is only going to get fan protests half way through a season if he is a clueless, boring, negative cock.
  2. We obviously weren't inundated with quality applicants the last two times when we needed a manager so maybe it is likely to be significantly longer than 12 months before we can build again (if ever under Lerner).
  3. But the gates are not reducing significantly. The last 5 home games have yielded attendances of: 35,290 40,053 37,460 35,818 35,642 And two of these were against newly promoted sides Norwich and Swansea. Whilst attendances are in these ranges (admittedly swelled by the casual fans buying cheap tickets touted by desperate commercial staff) the powers that be will not bat an eyelid. When attendances start dropping below the 30,000 mark on a regular basis then perhaps Lerner will take some notice but not at the moment.
  4. There is absolutely no way that we can lose this. This is a nailed on victory for the first time (and possibly the last) in McLeish's tenure as Villa manager.
  5. Yes, it is far too long. Unless a letter is interspersed with pictures of big titted blondes and contains words of no more than one syllable then a good portion of posters won't have the brain capacity to read or understand it. Don't pigeon hole us all mate, I happen to find big titted brunettes more to my taste. My apologies Sir. Letters containing pictures of big titted brunettes are far superior and would be read in their entirety by people of a much higher calibre.
  6. Your chart would be better if it just included Premier League games as it is currently not reflective of the real situation.

  8. Their demise into liquidation would be a welcome relief from the pain of watching a McLeish inspired Villa team.
  9. What is the point of this thread? The poll is adversely affected by votes that are several years old and from an era when we were challenging the top teams. Either delete it or start a new poll!!
  10. In 20 league games we have failed to score in 8 of them. Even worse is that we have failed to score in 6 of the last 9 league games since 21st November 2011. The manager's record of 40% of games in which the team have failed to score just shows what a boring, negative, clueless, useless person he is.
  11. Get it endorsed by Sir Alex Ferguson then it's a sure fire winner!
  12. Sad to say but every home draw and/or defeat is another nail in McLeish's coffin. That is the only positive thing I can take from today's and other shit home performances this season.
  13. I may be wrong but hadn't we already brought on Hutton, Albrighton and Bannan by the time Guzan was injured? If so I make it that we had already made 3 substitutions which is, I understand, the maximum allowed. I thought it was before Bannan came on. If not, scratch that paragraph out of my post match rant! You are right! McLeish out for using all 3 subs!! LOL, there are many reasons for wanting McLeish out but even I would have difficulty in supporting his demise for not being clairvoyant!!
  14. Who is this Roberto Mancini that turned us down for Wigan?

  16. Very easy to lay the blame at the feet of a player who made the grave error of slagging off this city and this club. However, he was up against a pacey and tricky winger and almost every fullback has a nightmare on the occasions that this happens. He did improve matters in the second half to his credit. In fact he has been one of our more consistent and better players this season (if people take off their distorted glasses for a while they will see this) although this is not a difficult thing to achieve given the fact that no player has really been consistently good. Yes, he has made some mistakes but which Villa player hasn't? If anyone thinks that getting rid of Warnock is the answer then they are very naive.
  17. If we are being honest he never should have been appointed in the first place. It has nothing to do with where he came from because if he had been a success the fans would not give a toss that he used to be the manager of SHA. It has all to do with his CV as a football manager which is pretty poor and he is noted for his negative, boring football methods. Two relegations from the PL in four seasons and getting Rangers to finish third in a two horse race doesn't exactly fill anyone with confidence. If it costs us £millions to get rid of him whose fault is that? It is the sole fault of the person that appointed him. Is having to pay out compensation a good enough reason to keep someone who is no good for the club? No it isn't. Anyway, this is now in serious danger of becoming a post about McLeish and it should be related to the reactions to today's game so we had better end it there.
  18. The goals conceded today were not his fault but it isn't just about today is it it's about the dross served up since the season began.
  19. Can't we just have a poll on here? Simple options: 1. Mcleish in 2. McLeish out
  20. You know nothing of my football management experience and I know nothing of yours. If today's excuse was conceding an early goal what excuses are there for the dross served up in numerous other games this season?
  21. And the reason that it is happening is because: We have no game plan and don't have a clue. Result: Booing. The person responsible for this is the manager. Solution: Have a game plan and have a clue. Fringe Benefit: Fans are happier and have a reason to cheer.
  22. The only away game in which we have 'played better' as you describe it was last Saturday against Chelsea. We have played shit for the vast majority of the season whether home or away. Don't fall into the trap of believing that the reason we are so shit at home is because of the fans. One of the reasons that we are so shit at home is because we play like we are away and let whomever we are playing dictate the game. Another reason is that we have no 'game plan' and we just lumber around without a clue. This is the sole responsibility of the manager. Give the 'Home' fans something to cheer and they sure will!
  23. Perhaps we should cheer the pathetic performances that we are served up every home game?
  24. Not long back from the match. Went to the game with a degree of enthusiasm after the Chelski game, although this was tempered somewhat by the fact that the away win might have been a fluke. I should have known better but I was not entirely surprised and the performance and result means that normal service has been resumed. The chants of 'You don't know what you're doing' and the boos at full time just about sum it all up. The sooner McLiesh goes the better.
