  1. It appears the majority of Russians are used to having nothing so there is very little change. In the major Cities things are a little different. This channel (2) 1420 - YouTube is pretty good as the young lad that runs it asks some provocative questions. As you'll see most Russians are either, a) not into politics, b) Scared to talk, or c) completely for aggression against the US. . Every now and again someone sensible pops up although not very often. Here's one of the best examples. Note the US hater at the end who would be happy to kill Americans, whilst wearing his NASA jacket.
  2. Because you raised the point about people in Kharkiv not caring who was ruling so long as there was peace. In return I raised the fact that a few people being interviewed is irrelevant when they may potentially be Russian sympathisers or may have potentially been terrorised and trust no one.
  3. And hows that all panning out? The annexation of all these regions. What have Russia improved or have they just obliterated normality for Ukrainians who now struggle for everything. Russians f***** off before Ukrainians even entered Kherson. It's that much of a Russian City that the Russians didn't have the nerve to stay and get rid of the Ukrainians Nazis that were coming to take it back. My guess here is Russia are only interested in robbing and murder, and when they've had their fill and realise they can never stay and they've exhausted themselves, they'll f*** off again with some other bullshit reasoning instead of the overwhelming fact that Ukrainians want them out of Ukraine. Russia are that concerned about Ukrainians they decided to blow up all infrastructure and leave all their brothers and sisters in the cold, not because they are hateful bastards but because they want to rebuild everything again. FFS.
  4. Somehow I think you may have struggled to find someone who doesn't want peace. Especially when they've been terrorised and probably trust no one at this moment in time. The facts are they're a lot of Russians and pro Russians in Ukraine although a minority when it comes to Ukrainians. That does not give Russia the right to wander into Ukraine and start killing everyone non Russian or opposed to them. Under any circumstances. The idea that the majority of people don't care who rules is just utter bollox.
  5. It doesn't, death is never easy, especially for those left behind to pick up the pieces.. What it makes easier is the justification for fighting because to not could be far far worse. Law of averages says that in the instance of Russian aggression surrendering is offering yourself up for sacrifice.
  6. I think your giving the Russians too much credit in thinking they'd have just rolled in an only killed Zelenskky and his immediate circle. Ukrainians went through enough trying to rid themselves of Russian influence in the first place. I think there would've been a mass purge whichever way this had gone.
  7. I think there are 2 ways to look at things and ultimately both are correct. The no win situation lies in the present imo. Without doubt, the current loss of life is never positive or a win, families will forever be lost in time just as through previous wars. The destruction to property and materials in the end becomes less of a concern when compared to the loss of life. However, who's to say that had Ukraine capitulated early in this conflict that the numbers of Ukrainians killed would not be higher than present? In this instance or conflict I would guess that had Ukraine rolled over the carnage would have been just as bad. Maybe not materialistically but with the suffering of a nation and it's souls. Russian's would have been systematically going from door to door across the whole nation with maybe astronomical numbers of citizens disappearing, far higher than 100k. With Russia's history I would bet that would certainly be the case although admittedly hypothetical. On that basis though, or the possibility, out of a population of what was 44m, what would be an acceptable loss to retain freedom from a regime that would systematically wipe out all that oppose it?! My guess is the number would be far far higher than 100k. If you look at things like that then who's to say that ultimately retaining a certain level of freedom in this tyrant made f***** up world isn't a win.
  8. Without trout, eel go somewhere else
  9. Russian base in Melitopol. Estimated 300 Kadyrov's Chechen troops got splattered. The video taken just after the strike is quite gruesome so I purposely haven't posted it.
  10. Fair play Warrington, 3 rounds ago he looked like he was folding slowly. Rallied well.
  11. Lopez to stop Warrington with a left to the body late.
  12. Which is why England are happy losers. Until it becomes unacceptable to lose you can never have a winning mentality.
  13. If he's currently regarded as the best player in world football standards are slipping. Great player but not for me. I think Haaland is a better forward although very different and far more dangerous. Shame he'll never get to really test himself on a regular basis at International level.
  14. The only reason people trot out the bollox about Southgate bringing some form of team unity is because of the amount of apologists in the media licking his rear end. In reality he's failed at his job, miserably after several attempts.
  15. He's done nothing more than countless other losers have done. He's bonded a team of losers, nothing to be proud of.
  16. Deserved. Far more intent with the ball and in attack. Cry about the foul but it's at the other end of the pitch.
  17. Sloppy England. Need to wake up and stop pissing about with the ball.
  18. France are far more composed in possession at the moment.
  19. I know he's now gone off but Ziyech has been one of the players of the tournament for me. Really hope Morocco hold on.
  20. That 82 Brazil team is arguably the greatest team never to win a World Cup, probably their best team since 1970. Such a beautiful team to watch play football. Here's the 82 Brazil story football art.
  21. 82 was mine. Zico along with Tony Morley were my hero's. That 82 WC was still to this day my most loved. From the moment Robbo netted against France it was just brilliant game after brilliant game. Some of the match ups were amazing. The most disgusting thing about it was Peter Withe being the only Villa player in the England squad considering we just won the European Cup. Absolute travesty imo that several of our players weren't in that squad. Instead waiting for Brooking and Keegan to be fit. Then they came on in the draw v Spain when we needed a win and delivered zilch. Total bollox. As a tournament though I still find it hard to find to pick anything that rivals it. It probably had more football legends participating than any other WC in history. It was just mental and the football legendary. Here are the goals. I would say if anyone can find the official video narrated by Sean Connery its a serious good watch.
  22. Something tells me the Spanish refereeing version of Mussolini won't get many more WC games. Absolutely horrendous ref.
