He's not contributing an awful lot to City. Why the hell would we need him to come back and contribute the same here, less than his first stint? The idea we should welcome him back in his thirties on the way down, still on ridiculous wages, with a bigger injury record is a bit crazy. Basically, we'll pay over the odds wages for a player who's best days will be gone. Backwards thinking imo.
I think fans think somehow, we'd get an upgraded version back. If anything, it will be far less as all the flair will have been drummed out of him by then. And then will have to listen to all the stories of how great it was with ginger bollox De Bruyne, and the bald Spainard. No thanks.
Good luck to him but I think they'd be a massive number of fans that'll never want him back. I'm on that list too.
