Carew had been dreadful and his miss really lifted Newcastle and their fans. Albrington needs to make better decisions. I'd prolly get Coker on move Ireland further forward get Young out to the wing and take off either Downing or Albrington.

Given the injury news i'd go with: Friedel L.Young -- Dunne -- Clark -- Warnock Petrov --- NRC Albrington -- Ireland -- A.Young Carew Clark looked better than Davies so i'd stick with him. I think Ireland will be keen to get out there are prove a point so lets set him lose on Newcastle. Albrington in better form to Downing. Another 3-0 A.Young, Ireland, Carew

Dunne was suspended for Vienna game, he is fit. Dont know about the others.

Showed he is willing to get into the box, he is willing to take on defenders and works his socks off. On top of that he seems to have good technique, think he can become a more than useful player off the bench and start a few games if needed.

I think this game showed we desperately need 1 if not 2 more CMs. Including Delph we have 3 that would have no problem starting, Hogg doesn't look ready and Osbourne is Pants. If I was KM i would make that his number 1 priority because if we lose Coker or Petrov before Delph i fit we will struggle. -
A combination of poor genetics and not getting him on growth hormones to compensate would be my guess.

Glad we only conceded 1 that half. Bannan, Albrington, Beye and Heskey have all played well and done their first team chances no harm at all. Davies has been epicly bad, he cant defend against the ball on the ground, he has been abysmal against aerial threats and he panics on the ball and hoofs it, just want him off for Clark at half time. The rest have been Average Some harsh stuff on here about Guzan he's not at fault for the goal and has been reasonably solid, it's unfair to hold him to Friedle standards because hes one of the top keepers going around.

Who exactly has "deemed" that? The large majority of people. Are you honestly telling me you would prefer we play our strongest 11 tonight then rest a couple against Newcastle on Sunday.

I think if u are putting them on a plane and making them travel there is no point having our stars sitting on the bench. Also we definitely will not get battered, I am sure our team will be weaker on paper, but our fringe player will be dying for the opportunity to shine so i am expecting a tight game.

Watched The League, anyone who has ever taken a fantasy comp too seriously will enjoy it. Just started Community and so far so good, it has a well balanced cast with good chemistry looking forward to see if they can continue the good work over multiple seasons.

It is a terrible shame we cant keep Milner. That was some of the most fluid attacking I've seen from Villa and the team chemistry was amazing. MacDonald deserves a couple more weeks at least after getting the team to play like that. I have a feeling there'll be a lot more tickets sold to Villa's next home game .

What an amazing half of football by Villa! Club in crisis i think not!! Midfield is looking so fluent its very impressive and Stan has shown why he should have a bit more attacking freedom. Only negative is i think Albrington is trying a bit too hard but given its his first PM start i am very impressed. Also that Harewood bloke has managed 2goals and an assist in a 'relegation bound' Blackpool, maybe we should get him .

I'm genuinely surprised by our line-up and i love it, it's very refreshing. Think we have one winger too many on the pitch and but in a game where we should have more possession might not be the worst thing. 3-0 young, clark, albrington !

yeah its frustrating. At the end of the season the window looked simple, get rid of heskey, sidwell, shorey, beye to free up some wages and get in a quality striker and a couple of squad players... if only it was that simple.
