I really thought United fans were being harsh on him last season as every time I watched them he seemed alright but very unspectacular. It turns out thats as good as he plays. Would rather see pretty much anyone else in the team ahead of this guy.

We can't score goals, hard to see any scenario where we don't go down.

Personally I'd play Westwood and Sanchez in a 4-2-3-1 and have 4 attacking players in front of them.

Cleverly off for Weinman or Bacuna would help a lot. The problem is that Westwood, Sanchez and Cleverly all rarely make runs forward.

I want to support Lambert but this is beyond ridiculous. We can't score goals and ultimately that falls back to the manager and his staff. Either Lerner needs to give him money for attacking players or he has to go.

Every time I stay up late for these 2am games we don't score so I'm to do everyone a favour and go to sleep so I can continue my streak of not seeing Villa goals live.

I think that's the worst part. If they are consistently the same type of bad you learn to deal with it. -
The problem with stats in football is they really only tell part of the story. His pass completion is high because he always takes a long time on the ball and picks safe side or back pass. A player in his position needs to have more to his game than that, he needs to either be more creative or be more like a Lampard and be a true box to box midfielder that gets himself into goal scoring positions.

Given what we paid for Westwood and Sanchez, Cleverly isn't worth more than 1mil. He's been really poor and really doesn't offer the team anything.

I think this is particularly noticeable in the general build up play as well. Benteke has been really poor with his build up play recently but half the time its him passing the ball into an area he expects a player to be.

As poor as Weinman has been Benteke hasn't been much better. Can't have those two giving the ball away so much if we want to build pressure.

Not a Choice I envy Lambert having to make. I think Its a good game to give Bacuna and Grealish starts, keep the squad a bit fresher and see what these guys can offer.
