    If you look back, transfer wise, over the last 3 years that count for FFP, have we actually had a big nett spend? I don,t think so. We bought Hogan, McCormack etc but sold Amavi,Veretout,Baker etc. So I don,t think we will have a bad record on that part of it. I realise there are other factors but these guys know what they are doing!!

    You know we all go on about our crap defence but it's only at home we concede. In our last 4 away games ( Derby,Boro,Albion & Swansea) we have only let in 2 & 1 of those wasn't really a goal. It's just at home we are just to open. I'm sure that's easily dealt with. I don't think it's all that bad overall.

    This is spot on. Ampadu from Chelsea would make a massive difference in this area. Whilst Whelan is competent in this area ( Jedinak would be too), he (they) has no pace and that is vital to the way we play now.

    Sorry to be pedantic but it is 7 goals in 3 games actually ( includes 0-3 at Boro).The Forest game was just a freak and Albions 2nd should obviously of not counted. It may look from a distance that our defence is poor but that, going forward, will not be the case. Up till Smith took over we did look poor but Tuanzebe & Chester look to have established a good understanding and the full-backs have got much better. I am sure the defence ( 4 CLEAN SHEETS IN 8 ) will be no problem!!

    I wasn't a Bruce out until right at the end, but Wow what a difference a progressive manager makes. I wouldn't of believed it could make such a difference. The biggest plus for me is when we go 1 up, none of this sitting back and waiting for the inevitable, not now we go and get another! It feels like we will beat anybody anywhere now. UTV

    Yes I have and he is undoubtably very talented however that doesn't mean he'llmake it at this higher level. I just think Smiths way is bringing in players just like him!

    Whilst I think Cahill is a really good defender I really think we should be looking more long term. He would be a great short term fix but I don't think Smith will be looking that way. The Aberdeen centre half would be more up his street and I think that is the way forward.

    At this stage last season Fulham had 19pts, just one more than us this season - anything can happen yet!!

    Anybody agree Tom Heaton would be a good shout. Doesn't get a look in now at Burnley, top goalkeeper IMO.
