  1. This is the first time I will say it... I want Martin O´Neill out. Todays performance showed me that he has taken the club as far as he can with two consecutive 6th places. The team lack almost everything at the moment and I dont trust his tactical knowledge and I certainly dont trust him on the transfer market. His coaching ability is tops...but that is not enough in Premier League. I was embarrassed today... Wigan Athletic made us look like a joke. They had brilliant creativity in players like newly signed Gomez...absolutely brilliant crossings and passings from Figueroa and also a lethal striker in Rodallega. How a club like Wigan can find and attract those kind of players is beyond me...no..I correct myself...how a club like that can find those players..yet Villa misses out again and again. This small club found Esteban Valencia..and sold him with great profit in the summer. They rebuild and find new gems... It is time Martin...I am actually sad to say...but it is time to leave. The gameplay is awful..the energy was shameful and the whole attitude in a opening day game suggest that they all have lost it at Villa Park!
  2. I can totally see why those villa fans thought that way after today and last seasons final 3rd. No leadership No organisation and a lot fo poor players bar a few all on the field. I think its unfair to point the finger at Randy when all he's done is back a manager he thought would do the job well. its MON,s fault witht he mess were in and i think its time for him to judging from this game and the final 3rd of last season ! THE MESS WE ARE IN? what mess,We have lost one game get a **** grip. Villa fans are shit,Laugh at newcastle fans all you want but if we got relegated there would not be fans cheering and singing regardless like they did,We boo and want the manager out when we lose a **** game. It is not for ONE game... It is numerous failures to sign greater quality to the club. It is numerous failures in tactical strategy. All this adds up and finally people has had enough...especially when we are outplayed by WIGAN ATHLETIC at Villa Park!
  3. Absolutely! Filled with foreign players that outplay MONs british legions. How embarrassing...and why cant Villa find players like Valencia they had last season...Figueroa? Rodallega? They have great passing skills, enough pace and strength..and creativity. This is why I am showing my criticism towards MON...If managers from smaller clubs can find quality players at reasonable prices abroad and MON simply cant? I find it laughable!
  4. If he was such a master at motivating...how the feck cant he get the players all fired up for the opening day? Ridicolous and shameful display by Villa!
  5. I choosed Pessimistic...but in my mind I am slightly towards Suicidal because MON has not done enough this summer..yet. I would like to feel happy but there are too many questions needed to be answered in order for me to feel relaxed about the situation. What will the losses of Barry and Laursen mean? Will the team improve and has the team improved since last season?
  6. 8th - 10th... Lack of real quality signings. I dont want MON out but I think this season will really show if Lerner believes in MON or not for the future. There is a huge risk that Lerner will decide to call the end for MON at the club. He will wait a long time though before taking any action...because everyone knows that Lerner rate MON highly.
  7. I would without any doubts. He is a classy player and he has also given Villa some very good times. Gareth Barry is always welcome in my Villa. I dont hold anything against him because he wants to improve, wants to have a new challenge, wants to win something, and wants to earn triple his wage.
  8. JPA was class in a very mediocre Villa era. I wouldnt take him back though simply because I think he is beyond it nowadays. It would´ve been fun to see him play with this team though..a much better team than what he had to deal with! I loved it when JPA played here and it is really sad that he hadnt a team around him matching his ability. If it was a choice between JPA and Harewood then I would grab JPA fast as lightning. He is still a better footballer and attacker than Harewood.
  9. I remember that well. However...that doesnt make him a shitty manager. People judge him by the way they like him as a person or not..just as they do with Redknapp. Still..they are both pretty successful managers..or was (DOL).
  10. DOL is a pixie nosed arrogant rocket polisher Do you know him in person? Is that managerial preferences or what? The one who are blameless and flawless throws the first stone... I bet some people can say a thing or two about you thats not so uplifting..does that make you worse at your trade/working skills?
  11. Mike Ashley is clueless! Such an idiot... NOT for trying to get DOL..because I do think he could do a really good job there and he also did a good job at Villa no matter what people say today. Many of the DOL criticism comes from people who werent that hard on judging him when Villa were going good in the Premier League. He also had to deal with one of the worst chairmans and owners in the whole history of English football. People forget that... Both DOL and Gregory deserves a lot more credit than they get....
  12. I think that Newcastle played better than what I predicted. Some players are very questionable...like Jonaz Gutierrez (stamina) and Collocini (very unbalanced and "off"). I was impressed by Tim Krul, their reserve keeper.
  13. And Ashley said he loved Newcastle United? What an arse...absolute joke of a businessman... I am stunned how he could get a fortune...how has that been possible? What he is showing at Newcastle is unbelievable.
  14. I am amazed how unprofessional and absolutely idiotic Newcastle United is at the moment. Mike Ashley must be a nightmare to them and I somewhat feel sad this happen to any football club!
  15. What a fecking prank he is that idiot Ashley. Unbelievable stuff to come from someone who is a businessman. Where will he ever get respect again? Stupid stupid stupid!
  16. Good to see that he is recovering. I wish him all the best and hope to see him here soon again.

    Villa managers

Spot on! I remember this too...and many other good moments with Big Ron as Villa manager.
  18. I´ve gone for a 7...mainly because I think Villa lack creativity and still a player in the central area that has great presence that put fear at oppositional teams. We are far too easy to read with Ashley Young exceptional good in the team and if he is cut out of business much of our creativity is gone. The attack needs sharpening and more creativity. We are very fragile in attack if we lose Carew on injury. I am happy with the signings done this summer...but I feel that Villa lacks creativity and we could have done slightly better in the transfer market.
  19. Thought you might be.....jumped the gun a bit there didn't you, too eager to pick a fight! Not at all..but surprised a foreigner gets recognition like that despite so many were absolutly against "Mr fancy name"...it shows how people can get turned around and that football skills is more important than nationality. Nice..and a surprise. Wrong. The vast majority don't give a shit what nationality a player is as long as he can do the job he's bought in for. What does annoy people is when others assume a "fancy name" player is better than an English player by default. Which is bollocks. Or..in all honesty..vice versa.

  21. I havent looked the results yet but I can guess... It is seemingly a BIG resistance on this site for foreigners...for some strange reason. Especially IF they goes to another club. :winkold: JEEEESUS! I was wrong!
  22. I voted for Manchester United. The game was very good and I enjoyed it very much. I also must add that I feel for John Terry. It is tragic that he was so close to give Chelsea the trophy but failed because he slipped in the moment he kicked the ball. Unbelievable bad luck and this will follow him the rest of his life...so I really do feel for him despite being happy Chelsea missed out.
  23. I think it needs to be someone who is respected highly within the group and someone who can talk on the pitch. My pick would be: Nigel Reo-Coker...with Martin Laursen to take over if Reo is unavailable for some reason.
