  1. Ridgewell without any doubt! He is a star defender on rising...
  2. I dont like the way he has guided Villa throughout his years in charge, but I dont know anything about Ellis as a person. I will honour Ellis with one silent minute when he dies...not because I like him as a Chairman at the club...just because he was a Villa supporter.
  3. Angel without any doubt! Give the lad support and dont backstabb him when he´s having a tough time. DOL doesnt help him when he puts Cole beside him. Cole is so far lacking everything making him a promising striker...he hasnt scored for a long time and that we have two with the same problem in attack dont benefit anyone...certainly not Angel!
  4. DD is good and short..."DeeDee"... Why not take away Deadly from Doug! He took the stand... Deadly D.... I like Djemba...very odd and special.... Sing "Djemba Djemba a name to remember-Djemba Djemba will never surrender" on Fulham game!
  5. I answered Yes. Reason: 1. "Funds which are not utilized during the current transfer window will be added to those made available the next close season"... I dont believe that it will be major signings, if any. Villa might get two more in before deadline...one on free or loan...and the other with a transfer not higher than £1,5-£2m. I will not give up hope before the window has closed...and if nothing has happened before transfer window is closed I will get bloody embarrased again and furious with the club strategy for the future.
  6. For me it would be the "Red Card" or "Club for sale"...both is good. Why not use both?? One massive action...for every home game we have left in the league.

    Villa managers

Yes but that was another era. I´m fully aware of GT´s importance for Villa...but it was really a joke the second time around. Its sad for him...and for the club. It was although a good judgement to resign...and to be honest...he didnt jump at the idea to start a manager career at the first place. Ellis talked him into it.

    Villa managers

I must say that 4 out of 5 was ok...Graham Taylor is the one I dont like. I loved Ron Atkinsons attitude and the way he mastered the League Final against Man U. I liked Brian Little because he did good for Villa even though the play could´ve been more entertaining. I loved John Gregory because he was a really fun manager and he made the best out of the squad he had. He brought Angel and Mellberg to the club. I think he had skills... I like David O´Leary because he has a good attitude to football today and he probably do his very best under a Chairman that are ageing and getting more and more out of hand. The first full season was quite lovely to follow... The best one of these...I would go for...Big Ron. A very odd personality but with a great football mind.
  9. I would say Wenger... Mourinho still have a lot to prove. Porto isnt a bad club and to see that Mourinho had a strategy for the players to dive whenever they had a chance could get any opponent out of balance. Now he is the manager of Chelski...hm...it might be hard to keep everyone happy...but really...doesnt he have the most interesting squad of them all? Wenger has done magic...for several years...just like Ferguson for Man U. I still hold Wenger the better manager.
  10. I´m ANTI-ELLIS right or left doesnt matter mates...as long as this old bloke goes down!
  11. Without doubt Steed Malbranque! We have strikers good enough but we doesnt have a midfield worth the name...and on the leftside its just a joke as it is now. We need pacy players...big size pacy players... But I think Villa could find pacy players outside England that might be as good as Steed...without splashing out all transfer kitty in one buy. Please DOL...Look at French league...and other european leagues. There are many players out there that would do a lovely job for Villa. Find a new Zidane...a new Nedved...before someone else do! Thats what we need...a spell of fortune with transfers...buy cheap get world class within a year.
  12. I see that McGrath is in a big lead and I must say that it is right. Paul McGrath was a tremendous centrehalf for Aston Villa when he was at his best. Mellberg isnt quite there yet, but clearly has enormous potential to even achieve a more legendary time then McGrath at Villa Park. But for now...McGrath wins perfectly fair.
  13. I should say midfield without competition. We dont have what it takes in the midfield positions...thats it! Midfield: Barry has been crap since pre season in Sweden! Hendrie has some moments...just 89 minutes too short! McCann...Can fight...but what more? Solano...hmm...I had some high hopes here, but it seems like he hasnt melt in right with Villas long ball play...hit and run is not South American style! Whitts...yeah...hm...little bit too much of too little. Davis...just on his way into the side...too early to say...but not top 5 material. Attack: JPA is probably the only player to rate as a league top six. Vassell...this man is the most overrated player in Villas history. Cole...very good loanee...not Villa player (sadly). Moore...potential...but then again...Vassell has had the same for ages. Defence: Mellberg...when he wants he is the king at the back. First class. Laursen...too little time to show. Drobny...mistake. JL Samuel...this one I do like...at least he tries and he is rated in my eyes! UDLC...has his moments...but 88 minutes too short. Not Premier... Delaney...probably the most underrated player at Villa. Can be greater! Ridgewell..showed some good class in pre season. Promising! Goalies: Sorensen...top class goalkeeper. Nothing more need to be said... Postma...I had high hopes about this one...and still have... Henderson...sounds like a king, too short i think for being a great goalie. Manager: DOL...does very good, but still...I demand better tactics and better play!!! Board: Mr Ellis...is also one of the weakest links!! God I dislike this strange man. Langham...watch out Mr Langham...you might be as popular as your boss! The final words about this is that Villa has a weak team with players that doesnt come up to the task. This is the story about last season... Everyone got their form peaked at the same time and at that same time had the teams Villa fought with at the top some of their weakest seasons. Villa had a goal to reach and with a good flow in winning games everything went easy... Now it is back to the beginning...other teams has been made considerable stronger than Villa during the summer and they WILL NOT give anything away like last season. Villa had the chance yet again to become a force in Premier League...one man, yet again...destroyed every chance Villa had by holding the money firmly tight to his body. When this man, Mr Ellis, resigns or die...Villa can start to rise...but from where is the question...maybe from a division lower than Premier...maybe two divisions lower. As it looks now Villa would win The Championship if they were there...but we will be nowhere near top six this year if DOL doesnt get £30m to invest.
  14. Yes...and furthermore it will be a signing of a player in the region of £3-4m too...it will leave the spending on this two players up to an estimated £10m.
  15. If Vassell score in the beginning of the season...SELL HIM! We should get good money for him and that could give DOL money to spend wisely in transfer market. We have the Moore brothers that I´m sure would take the opportunity when it comes... My attack line is Angel and Cole....backup is Allbäck, S Moore, L Moore.
