  1. Sorry mod..didnt see the first side before voting.
  2. Its good bet on Spurs and Newcastle...but my vote would go on Newcastle at the moment. Spurs do have a good team and they have stepped up their pace whereas Newcastle has looked quite mediocre and the team isnt that good either. If you look at Spurs the only problem they have at the moment is their defence and their goalie that clearly is not up to standard. They has also a huge explanation..at least to me...with Ledley King being long term injured and the ongoing problems within the club when Martin Jol was there and the way he was treated. Not many teams would play football of their real standard considering those factors. So..with this in mind..Newcastle fans would most certainly get my vote as the most delusional fans so far. Chelsea aint that far away either...but in a totally different position. The loss of Mourinho has made them human again and the team does show some fragile parts in their games since Grant took over.
  3. I am not so impressed by him. He seems very boring too... But on the issue that has brought this thread to life I cant say he is any different to all managers...they all see what they want to see...and clearly holds a blind eye when things arent going their way and always ply innocent...
  4. i actually noticed that too. maybe using them as a stepping stone? This was very odd in the interview. He didnt say anything about Birmingham..only about himself and how he enjoyed being in the PL. It could´ve been any team for him so he clearly grabbed the first chance that came along. Strange one...
  5. He could´ve denied making a statement...but as he now did I dont think MON is the type of guy to slate someone..even a rival. In a way I wish we could clone MON and have him on this forum at times when things arent that cheerful...
  6. According to news today McLeish has resigned from Scotland to take over at Birmingham and Martin O`Neill has tipped Alex McLeish to do well in the Premier League and to be a success at Birmingham... O´Neill - Mac will be terrific I agree with MON that McLeish probably can do very good at Birmingham. Sadly this is something I obviously dont like but put aside our rivalry I do think he is quite capable to do great work there...
  7. Venables got the sack along with McClaren so he wont be near the post....
  8. I have....because this is a thread about who we think will be the next one...and I do believe MON will be it...or very close.
  9. I voted MON because I cant see FA go for a manager abroad. Fabio Capello is a very good manager and he would be a perfect choice...Marcello Lippi too...and Jose Mourinho.
  10. General, The work for Villa has been tremendous since the take over and improvements are seen everywhere. However...I am concerned about the official site of AVFC. The site doesnt hold the right quality in my opinion and is quite an "unfinished product". The heading/logo looks poor and unbalanced with a part of it fading and has smudged colours. It is just a feeling you get when you visit the site and the first impression is important for any website. I havent had much criticism about anything concerning the "off the pitch" work of AVFC, but this disturbs me a little bit because it is the clubs representation on the internet. I know this is hardly the first thing on your agenda but it would be interesting to know if you are happy with the site or if there are plans to make it better in due time? There are functionality and information issues too that arent that satisfying. Looking on, for example, the site of Cleveland Browns there are a different quality and other Premier League clubs has better and more modern technology advanced sites than Villa. It is, as I said, the representation on the internet for the club and is somewhat vital in that way. I am sure that you want what is best for Villa in every aspect, but the new official site is a little bit of a disappointment. How does the board look on this issue after letting the product go online despite not looking that professional and missing important information or is hard to find?
  11. which also contains aspartame ..the one and the same ingredient of coke that is going to give you cancer I'll stick to Pepsi max as I've never seen an overweight lab rat and they drink it all the time You havent looked enough... :winkold:
  12. Is it an own goal from Ridge or is it a close call for Petrov to get it? Great result for Villa and I am very very happy!! However..it was a close call and I cant say that I am too happy with that.
  13. Dont agree, in the first half we controlled the game Still doesnt mean anything if you dont put on a good display. Both teams can play crap football and one is better...
  14. Does anyone notice how short we are in options? It is almost ridicolous...cut out Young and we´re half the team...take out Carew and we lose very much strength in attack. Why hasnt Harewood been at the bench in games like this? He should´ve been in the squad because we need a player with body strength. I dont say that he is a better player than Moore or Maloney..but in a game where fighting and strength means more than anything else a big boy should be included.
  15. FFS! Get in...you should´ve killed this game off a long time ago!! Come on Villa!!
  16. Larsson on for Nafti....and I should say that it is a good sub for Birmingham...it can get really ugly now...
  17. This is a fcking must win for Villa...I will not be pleased with a draw...
  18. How does Knight play? Does he look shaky or comfortable?
  19. On BBC News Live..it says that it is a very tight game with 48% to 52% possession in Villa favour...??
  20. Good luck Villa! Come on and crush Brum!!
  21. I voted for Jose Mourinho because he is simply a better manager...for me there isnt any doubts. I would though, like to say, that I am happy with MON and that I think he is good for Villa...still...we are talking about two managers of different class.
