    The reason we look crap is because most of our forward players, due to injury or form, are currently contributing **** all. Zaniolo, Diaby and Ramsey have had poor seasons, the latter mostly due to injuries. Hopefully Unai sees Rogers as someone that can come in and do a bit more than they are currently.

    Carlos Alcaraz at Southampton is off on loan to Juventus with a £35m option to buy in the summer. Looks a very good young talent. That’s the sort of deal I would have liked us to do in this window.

    No smoke without fire on this one for me. Wouldn’t be surprised if Duran left before the end of the window. He should sack his agent but I’m pretty sure that, being only 20, he is putting far too much faith in his representatives and probably won’t see the bigger picture having the chance to develop here.

    Middlesbrough want £15m, which we have reportedly offered. The only thing to iron out now is structure of the deal, which shouldn't be too difficult to work through. The fact that Rogers has allegedly told Middlesbrough that he wants to join us this month should help speed up the process a bit.

    I’m still hoping that we sign another CM. But with FFP I can’t see it happening unless Traore and / or Chambers leave.

    Maybe Rogers is coming in to offer something for that 2nd forward role alongside Watkins. Would allow us to utilise Diaby on the wings instead.

    Rogers proved against Chelsea that he could create something from nothing against a PL team, and that was after we had already identified him as a transfer target. We need someone like that, and £15m for a 21-year old English player (and apparent Villa fan) is a bargain. Diaby has proved that spending big money on players doesn’t guarantee instant results. Rogers is the sort of signing we would look at enviably if another PL team signed him.

    Really want us to try and get Jonathan Rowe. Looks a real talent and apparently West Ham are after him as well.

    Rashford is playing shit because he’s not due a new contract anytime soon. I think that’s twice now he has played well for half a season at the end of his contract, bagged a big pay bump, then reverted to shite again.

    I did think that Klopp would end up at Real Madrid in a year or so, but then remembered that he wouldn't know what to do with a club that spends money.
