    85 successful passes in a game, 94 made is immense! Hope he keeps this up Makoun, outstanding.

    Our passing and keeping pocession for long periods was very good. Makoun thinks he's playing for Arsenal, had a great game, a couple of times though when I think he could have shot instead of passed. Wasn't expecting to get anything really from this game, but we should be able to turn some teams over playing like this.

    Spurs have bid for half of La Ligas strikers tonight apparantly. With massive bids for Aguero, Rossi, Llorente, and Negredo just confirmed on SSN. The bid for Aguero was apparantly £38.5 million and Rossi £30 million according to their Spanish correspondant. Bloody hell Harry! And only earlier today he said he isn't in for a striker now.

    Big plus for us, because that was when they actually seemed to cause us real problems when he came on. Hopefully Notts take them to penos and beat them though.

    Well done Torres lad, well done! Finally seeing a bit of sense realising he is not going to win anything significant over the next 2-5 years with Liverpool. World class striker at the age of 26, time to move on for him to a club that can challenge for all of England and Europes top honours. Torres and Drogba is quite a frightening prospect when their both on top form. Lets all laugh at Liverpool .

    The Times journalist Tony Evans on TalkSport just saying it seems like the Torres will definatley go to Chelsea in the this window. Torres wants out, and Saurez deal doesn't change it. Tomorrows papers will apparantly tell a lot more. I hope they do sign them, I **** hate the god given right attitude of quite a lot of Liverpool fans. Good time for Torres to go, world class striker still at a club that probably won't have champions league football for a few years, fair play to him if he does go.

    Liverpool Reject £40 million bid for Torres: Telegraph Liverpool rejecting a bid for Torres is probably bigger than "the major" news from Ian Prior and The Guardian earlier that Inter might bid for Bale in the summer 8) .

    Out of all the players on the pitch for us, Gabs does not look confortable at all, he can't play on the wings, need to bring on Albrighton who is wing natural.

    I expect we'll see Makoun play 2morra then by the sounds of it, but I'm sure we won't see the best of him until he has played a few games for us. Be great if he puts in a "Ian Holloway jog the f*ck on" performance 2morra. Ash Young is certainly going to lose out on the West Midlands football style awards this year 8) .

    According to BBC Liverpool bid £12.5 million for Luis Suarez which is pretty low for someone of his goalscoring/assist record. Bid was rejected. He got something like 47 last season, incredible. Wonder if we could have got this guy.

    Houllier will come good for us, the players seem to be reacting much better under him now since the Chelsea game. 2 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss (when we went down to 10 men). Not bad for Chelsea, Birmingham, Sheffield United away, and Man City/Sunderland at home. Seems like a clever bugger in the transfer market too.

    Dunne and Collins Men of the Match. Back to their best today. Our entire back 4 was good. Gotta say I thought Ashley Young was quality today, work rate, skill, passes, shooting all positive. I could hardly breath towards the end of that game. Brilliant 3 points.
