    Clearly playing for a draw at home against Wigan, management team clearly lacking ideas. This is Aston Villa ffs. Terrible, no doubt GMac will say it was a good performance. Boards biggest mistake was appointing this management team, fix these mistakes in the summer by bringing in a proper football manager, a Moyes or a Lambo. Last 3 games have been terrible. Stoke and Wigan at home, West Brom away, 2 points and 3 shite performances. Oh Downing best performer by far, only one putting in the extra work, awesome tracking back.

    A Manure legend who had the foul stench of that club about him. The line was drawn for me. Paul McGrath is looked on as a bit of Manchester United legend too now, did you stay away for those years too? On the point of Benitez, no doubt about his credentials, but personally wouldn't want him at Villa, down to what he has done in the most recent history. Agree he wasn't given enough time at Inter, but his final year at Liverpool was also pretty shocking. Lambo for me, him with Gerard as a DOF.

    Paul Lambert with Houllier as director of football would be perfect for me. Was saying Lambo on top choice before Houllier came in, even more so now. Though yet to manage in he prem, he has had success in every season so far as a manager. in different leagues each season. He is like MON, but with attractive football.

Wonder if Gardner can start pushing for a first team squad place next season, if not, hope we send him on loan. he should have been sent out on loan as soon as he recovered from injury earlier this season, i have no idea why they waited, this player is far too good for reserve team football Agree also, but as BOF mentioned, I think they didn't want to risk him getting injured after so long out. Hope he gets sent out on loan come start of the new season. Interested to see how he takes to competetive football.

    No qualms about Stokes tactics getting results, but bar there decent football they played at wembley, they make football so hard to watch. Zzzfest. Walker MOTM, good throughout.
