    The mention of Ian Holloway at the bottom gives this article literally no credibility. No way would he be considered for Villa job, with some of the stuff he said. Bookies give Stan Collymore higher odds of being our next manager .

    Anyone else seen or know the reason why Rafa Benitez has suddenly become massive 1/6 favourite for the managers job? Can't even get odds on Ancelotti, yet he is 14/1 for West Ham. Madness.     I feel the current forward 3 of Downing, Young and Bent is better than that 3. N'Zogbia worth a gamble, do feel he is a step down from Young though.

    Bent was a "top top player" today and certainly man of the match. An awesome team performance. Was expected the worse though when we concede, so nerve racking. Jubilation when the whistle went though. The midfield was impressive, Delph, Reo Coker and Petrov. Downing had a good game and Walker was fantastic. Oh and Friedel of course. Was quite impressed with Bradley's short cameo too.

    Agreed, but more than this he just needs games. Only thing I can think of is they are protecting him. Want to give him a full preseason with Villa before being unleashed, might feel he is not quite up to pace yet.

    Very true Let's hope we can have some Delph specials, and make them feel uncomfortable. Didn't Delph start in our 3-0 away loss at Emirates last season? I forget if he started or came on as a sub. Lets hope indeed, be nice to see a top performance from him today, start to live up to the money we paid for him as an 18 year old.

No Cuellar, gutted! Good to see Delph in a 3 man mid. Still no Bannan on bench, whats the point of persisting with Pires!

    Arsenal sort of team we can cause an upset against as they will probably give us plenty of opportunities. Open game I can see with Arsenal controlling the majority of possession. Gonna go for an optimistic 3-2 Villa today.

    To be fair we were better with Heskey on the pitch, than with Albrighton on today. Still have no idea why Bradley, Delph, Fonz are not getting a look in. Can't help but feel sorry for Cuellar, a player who clearly really likes the club and is a much better defender than either Dunne or Collins. Management team = Clueless.
