  1. Some mock-ups of a home, away and third kit with Cadbury's sponsor for y'all... HOME AWAY THIRD
  2. Spurs; the team most likely to get hilariously knocked out in the qualifiers by the likes of FCU Politehnica Timisoara or someone akin.
  3. INERITABLE! Ahem, sorry. Couldn't resist. Back to the topic... Bale needs to maintain his current form through next season for any of the bigger clubs to start taking a serious look. Don't get me wrong, the lad's done really well but there's so many flash-in-a-pan youngsters around these days that have one great season and then five years later they wind up at Ebbsfleet (no offence to Ebbsfleet intended). He's certainly got everything going for him though. 3-1 flattered United today, although I did have to laugh at how utterly stonewall the first penalty was. I think if most Spurs fan's were told they were getting 6 points from the last 3 games they would've been very happy indeed. Oh, and Rafael's attempted goal-line overhead clearance when a simple header would have done was quite hilarious. As for the Eredivisie, I think back in the 90's you weren't taking as much of a chance on players as the general quality of the league was better (despite the fact that the league seems more competitive throughout now then it was back then).
  4. Video's a bit cack but the song's ace. For fans of Explosions In The Sky and The Appleseed Cast; co-incidentally Vessels' superb debut album "White Fields & Open Devices" was produced by the same John Congleton who's worked with aforementioned bands.
  5. It totally is. 'Forgiveness' and 'Home' are particularly excellent.
  6. Got to disagree there, of the two wingers Downing was much better. Good workrate, did well tracking back and his deliveries today were begging for someone to get on the end. Young on the other hand had his Aaron Lennon crossing boots on today, he either couldn't beat the first man or lofted it into no-man's land. Webb's a bottler. Penalty aside (and fair play to Ray Wilkins for telling it like it was, he could have just as easily pointed out that Agbonlahor had a fistful of shirt), that c**trag Terry could have broken Milner's leg. Jimmy must have legs of steel, 'cause it could have been a career-ender. Aside from losing Malouda for the second goal (which is a pretty big "aside"), I thought Cuellar had a really solid game. It just seems to me that not only would we benefit in an attacking sense from playing a natural right back, but Cuellar is a considerably better defender than Collins. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the ginger-monolith, but on a couple of occasions he went to ground too soon and left us exposed. Oh yeah, and we need either a striker or a plan B.
  7. Christ, there's some quality on show there! Phoenix, Midlake, Yeasayer, Wolfmother and Dirty Projectors = good times. Got a couple of gigs coming up this month, Minnaars at the Luminaire on the 28th and Three Trapped Tigers at the ICA on the 29th. Really looking forward to both of those, but I will be absolutely hanging at work on Friday!. The one I'm counting the days till is MAYBESHEWILL at the Lexington in June. Really can't wait for this, plus they've just announced the support and one of the acts (Kontakte) I've seen before and really liked. It's great when shit like that happens.
  8. Just got back home from seeing in London and they were **** brilliant. First time I'd seen them live, I was familiar with most of the material but they nearly blew the roof off the place. Gonna have tinnitus for the next few days now but quite frankly I couldn't be happier. If you're interested, they're the heavier side of instrumental math rock (not all I listen too, honest!) and are also stupendous.
  9. Not sure how good Kitbag are, but if you enter the promo code "Xexec" when purchasing you should get 10% off your order. You did not hear that from me.
  10. Football jerseys can have an educational purpose apparently...
  11. That Juve one is gorgeous. At first I thought that Boca top was cheap because it said "Juniors XL" size... I'm an idiot.
  12. Well, if you've got a spare £250 my friend then today is your lucky day... Click Lovely kit, shame about the price!
  13. Haha, I know where you're coming from on the Vasco top. I'm in Basingstoke and everytime I wear a Monchengladbach jersey out I get routinely mistaken/accosted for being a Reading fan (both teams where sponsered by Kyocera for a couple of seasons). I even had a cabbie wind his window down and scream "SHITE TEAM!" as he drove past. Now, unless I'm mistaken I'm fairly certain there aren't that many taxi-driving 1.FC Koln fans in Basingstoke. I took it upon myself to do something about this abuse a few months back when a passer-by commented "you're having a bad season aren't you?". I immediately retorted by proclaiming that, whilst we were hovering above relegation I felt we had "the quality to get some crucial points out of the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04". Suddenly my 'friend' seemed disincliend to participate further in our pleasant exchange, and made haste from the scene of the crime. If it's an Argentine shirt you're after, I highly recommend the following website... Argentine Soccer They have a section of old and new River kits at a very reasonable price, and official printing is a snip at $10. It's where I got my Arsenal de Sarandi kit from, and they're very helpful if you need any info. On the flipside, avoid soccer10shop LIKE THE PLAGUE. They proclaimed to have said Chilavert top that I was looking for last November, and happily took my money only to later tell me that "they didn't actually have it stock". They were fuzzy on when it would be coming in, and it would take about a week's worth of irate emails from myself (threatening some form of legal action) before they would respond. They strung the whole thing along until a month ago when I finally said "Forget it, I want my money back", at which point I was ignored. I've only just got my money back this week, after a myriad of harshly-worded communications were fired their way.
  14. Big fan of 65daysofstatic so I will check that one out thanks. Have you heard anything from the new album? I had absolutely no idea they were even making one until last week! I've only heard "Crash Tactics" thus far and I was "left wanting"; it's surprisingly bland for a 65dos tune. Here's hoping the rest of the album will be up to their usual high-standard.
  15. I do indeed; it's the one position where you can have a sizeable beer-belly and still be half-decent! God bless you Neville Southall, for opening the door for all the chunky athletes out there. Those listed are my only really interesting ones. I spent 400+ Euros in Florence a few weeks back on Fiorentina shirts with various names and as a result the missus has banned any future shirt purchasing for the time being. I know she's in the right, but I'll be damned if I'm not gonna fart on her whilst she's sleeping in an act of petty vengeance. I tend to prefer buying older kits as I seem to be under some sort of curse when it comes to getting names on the back of new shirts; the season after I bought the Luca Toni shirt Bayern Munich bought him. Then, the season after I bought the Marcell Jansen shirt, Bayern Munich bought him. I bought a Marko Marin shirt from Monchengladbach last year and what happened? He went to Werder Bremen mere months later. I thought when I bought my Erwin Hoffer top he'd at least be at Rapid Vienna for another few seasons, I mean who the heck is gonna want to buy him? Napoli, clearly, thought otherwise. It's got to the point now where this curse has seemingly "evolved" and knows what I'm going to do before I even do it; at the start of this season I had my heart set on a Hajduk Split shirt with Nikola Kalinic on the back. I spent a good few weeks trawling the web for a decent price, finally had some joy and was all set to part with my hard-earned moolah when Blackburn incurred my ever-lasting wrath. Co-incidentally, I'm thinking of buying a Heskey top before the season's out.
  16. ^Utterly brilliant. I have recently been made aware of the awesomeness of , an instrumental-electro-post-math-rock trio (that is a thing, I promise). If 65daysofstatic, Errors or Boards Of Canada float your boat then these chaps are absolutely worth your time.
  17. I've got far too many kits to bore everyone to death with, here's a selection of my favourites... -Fiorentina 2009 Home (signed) w/ "De Silvestri 29" -Rapid Vienna 2008 Home w/ "Hoffer 21" -Arsenal de Sarandi 2007 Home (50th anniversary) w/ "Gomez 10" -Borussia Monchengladbach 2007 Home w/ "Jansen 6" -Fiorentina 2006 Home w/ "Toni 30" -San Jose Earthquakes 2001 Home (no print) -UNAM Pumas 1999 GK (short sleeved) w/ "Campos 1" -Sampdoria 1994 GK (match worn) w/ "Pagliuca 1" -Aston Villa 1994 GK (Coca-Cola Cup winners) w/ "Bosnich 13" I've got a couple on my shopping list that I'm hoping to pick up at some point, just a matter of finding the damn things. -Velez Sarsfield 1998 GK (Bulldog design) w/ "Chilavert 1" -Borussia Monchengladbach 1995 GK w/ "Kamps 1" -Arsenal de Sarandi 2007 Away (50th anniversary) w/ "Andrizzi 11"
  18. I'd kiss this: I'd snog and fondle this: I'd whip some scissors, cut a tiny hole in and make love to this:
  19. Depends on the player. Would I pucker up if Steve Sidwell was running towards me? Hell no. Would I pucker up if James Collins was running towards me? I wouldn't want to, but I'd be terrified of what would happen if I didn't comply, and I can always curl up in tears in the bathtub later.
  20. Has anyone suggested jumping into the trolley and pretending you're a medieval jouster yet? On Bickster's point above... "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." -Edmund Burke ...but then again, I'm pretty sure that's what Dhalshim said to Jean Claude Van Damme in the Street Fighter movie so the credibility of applying that philosophy is sketchy at best.
  21. It's a trolley! I'd just wait for the thing to bump into the first person it hits and stop, them to go "ouch" and stand up with (most likely) no more than a bruise. I'd then return said trolley to whatever supermarket it came from, link it's chain to the next trolley and retrieve the £1 coin. There's your ideal scenario: no one's dead and I'm up a quid!

His position is still RW, but the default formation puts him in CM, and in CM his rating has gone from 76 to 77. Whilst staying the same out wide. With a bit of tinkering in his stats (have to do it prior to starting a MM game for it to stick), I've managed to get him up to 78. Basically, I stripped out all of his GK attributes, some of his defensive abilities and shaved a few unneeded points here and there, then I dumped the excess into short passing and strength (from what I remembered, in last year's FIFA these were the prime abilities to spend points in to upgrade a CM faster). For a laugh I applied the same process to Heskey and put as many points in finishing as possible... he's now better than Gabby.
  23. I loved Moon. Not only was it a great film, but it had this man...

Got round to downloading the post-January squad update, and Milner's been nerfed; rated exactly the same as Sidwell in CM. I'm lead to believe that Chris Smalling and Scott Dann are now two of the best young CB's in the game too... quizzical. Albrighton's been bumped up by 5 points (not that I mind particularly), which seems somewhat generous as I don't actually recall him playing for the first team this season bar one game. Dunne has been upped from his previously dire rating to an 80 which seems fair, and Collins is now level with Cuellar on 78.
