    No he needs to start moving his lazy arse! Sick of hearing about Bent needing service tbh, why does Benteke always seem to get chances when he is on the pitch?

    Definitely look like the best team so far. The trio of Hazard, Mata and Oscar is wonderful to watch.

    Southampton definitely worse than us yet they beat us 4-1? Seriously I admire you're optimism and would absolutely love to be proved wrong here but I think we will be bottom of the league come december.

    Whoever is in charge at this time won't progress us as a nation. What will do that is the changes that are being made to football at grassroots level. The benefits of the new national football centre won't be seen overnight though.

    I don't rate Bent as highly as most on here and agreed with Lamberts decision to drop him. However I'd be extremely disappointed if he is sold.

    By the looks of things we are going to need some investment in January to stay up IMO. We could quite easily find ourselves bottom of the pack after the next 7 games.

    Just out of curiosity, why do you rate Carroll? I mean, as far as target men go Crouch is way better. Yeah I don't understand how Welbeck keeps on making the team either. Mainly due to his first few months in the premier league, especially against us in the 6-0. Admittedly he hasn't hit that type of form in a while but there are signs that he could maybe do it at West Ham provided he doesnt get injured again.

    And to answer you're second point I do expect us to play better football in the future under Hodgson. Surely you can't expect him to have us playing good football given the little amount of time he had with the squad?

    I rate Carroll to be honest. I know you don't and I accept you're opinion but I think Carroll is much more effective, especially against the poorer sides that we will face in qualifying. I'd pick Bent over Welbeck though.

    I rate Hodgson and tbh I'd probably pick Carroll over Bent for England. As for needing a progressive manager I think he must have the worst squad of players to choose from for years so he's hardly going to have them passing it around like Spain.

    Bent needs to stop complaining and concentrate on scoring goals. He shouldn't of even been captain in the first place.
