General, I'm curious as to whether Mcleish will be held accountable if we fail to finish between 5th-9th? I ask given he hasn't had any real funding to work with and has a smaller and weaker squad than his predecessor who apparently did a fine job (according to your previous comments) achieving 9th. I assume it isn't the case but I hope the intention isn't for an easy scapegoat (given his history) if things start to go a bit awry this year, baring in mind the board were prepared to fully back Houllier in January last season when we were struggling? Of course I hope such a situation won't arise!

Amen! I'm biased as I want him to make it but I'd say theres been a noticable improvement in use of the ball since Bannan came on. Should be starting games in my opinion.

Be interesting to see if Gardner gets a touch with all the balls flying over his head...

Yes! Gabby is an absolute no mark leading the line. He has been absolutely shit and for me this has been the case since he bulked up but what do I know. We look **** desperate out there now but **** it hey everything will sort itself out for the league right? AMc won't have us playing toothless 4-5-1 like he is now, like he did with BCFC all the **** time. I agree - he's made/ making the exact same mistake Vassell did in my opinion. Completely ruining the main aspect of his game by obsessively bulking up. I get that it's only a friendly, and against Chelsea, but I'm struggling for positives to take away from that. I think the formation and way we are playing needs an overhaul (yes based on a huge 45 mins of watching! ), but some poor performance (hopefully pre-season fitness related) aren't really helping either.

It's possible to get a stadium with just about anyone if you fill your stadium long enough and have the money to do it. I managed it with Villa on FM 2009, but it was significantly into the file. Early-to-mid 2020's I think. EDIT: I'm sad enough to take print screens. It cost £340M to build a new 81960 seater stadium. Villa Park was valued at 84M to offset the cost.

Totally agree. It's almost as annoying as hearing that a few of them are going to be the next Ethan Moore, when they can't all be that good.
