    But it's the ref who makes the decision and has to justify it in his match report. In my book, if Villa appeal successfully against the red card, Dowd should spend a few games in the lower divisions because it waas him who wielded the red card. Lower league teams have it hard enough as it is, unfair to have him officiating their games.

    Being screwed over in a match with Dowd the ref, there's a shock! Should be banned from refereeing our games, I'm sure he's a SHA fan.

    How has Herd gotten away with diving in twice? Amazing stuff. His first touch is worse than Delphs.

    For the record I'm not saying I thought it was a perfectly fine tackle, those were the words of the commentary... who went on to say he should be booked for follow through. Hutton's an idiot.

    Million dollar question, how can a perfectly fine tackle be deemed a foul and a yellow card? Amazing commentary. Surely even commentators realise you can't control your momentum :bonk:

    Thing is he'll be 22 in November, admittedly he's missed some development time, but he is closer to being on the verge of his peak years rather than at an early development stage. I don't think we're all writing him off, but he isn't doing it for us at the moment and normally poor form results in the bench. I do think that there are serious questions as to whether he will ever overcome his short-comings though.

    Yeah I'd agree with that. The same thing could have been said about Cahill back in the day, he's built like a tank now.

    I know we conceded 4 but I thought Clark did really well today, surely did enough to justify staying in the team anyway. Surprised me how good/aggresive he was in the tackle a few times.

    The boy can't pass particularly well for a premier league midfield can he? He tends to look sideways or backwards with most of his passes too. The 'playmaker' tag some have given him is simply laughable.

    Delph put in some decent tackles today, shame he can't pass. I still say he's more an option at left back than the "playmaker" some on here suggest. I think we've done ok, just struggled to cope with City when they went up a few gears for a few minutes.

    He isn't the new Milner. Milner is the old Bannan. 8) As long as it stops the seemingly endless MON debate! Its about time we had one of those threads again. Bannan is the perfect option.

    I don't think we should be so harsh on SGC, one of the most entertaining parts of this forum! I can certainly see where the Gareth Barry comparisons are coming from, there are similarities. There are differences though and I think Clark will become a very good centre defender rather than a defensive midfielder in the long term. He can do a job there if needs be. I'm huge Bannan fan but if you were to ask me which was most likely to really make it over each of the last 3 pre-seasons I would have gone for Clark over him, Bannan, Albrighton and The Fonz.

    According to Bannan himself he was told to move on as he was told he would never make it in the premier league because of his size so I doubt he would've got any game time at all. Yep. There was also the suggestion last summer prior to MONs departure that he was looking to offload Bannan permanently, I think it's fair to say he wasn't a MON style player and wouldn't be in our team right now if MON was still here.

    I thought he had his best game for us last weekend, linked up with Bannan and Gabby well. There is still hope he can come good if he maintains that sort of form, certainly wouldn't be any worse than having Delph in the team who's form the metaphorical train wreck.

    I don't think it has been mentioned on here but career mode is (shock horror) at bit broken. Around 4 years into the game most AI players have developed at ridiculous rates (most physical stats become 99) and any youth players you sign you will not be able to renew their contracts beyond the first professional one you offer. Oh and there have been some reports of free agents just disappearing (happened to me). I've stopped playing for now in the hope a patch is released.

    You should use the sliders to tweak the game. turn the shot power up to about 58 - It's more realistic imo and gets rid of the "superkeeper" problem. You can also turn up AI runs, they do still stand around like lemons a bit but it does help. I'd also add I've switched to legacy defending, tactical defending against the computer is ridiculous.

    Ray Wilkins point out what most of us have noticed nearly every game this season. I wonder what those who think some of us are over-reacting think to an impartial pundit saying the very same things!

    Delph hasn't had a decent game all season. Never thought I'd say this but the sooner Jenas is fit the better. This game is more of the same from the previous games really, rubbish football. But at least its level, and you never know we may end up robbing QPR of the points like we did Everton.

    I'm disappointed with Warnock on that challenge.... ... should have left his foot much higher.
